Monty isn’t even Detroits best RB, but he would instantly be the best the Bears have. Detroit is doing this far better than the folks in Forest Lake. draft a damn stud rb already
Hes a Michigan grad, don’t be so sure
besides, my point remains. You have a young qb, you don’t draft projects top 10, or hurt players, you draft consensus immediate impact players
you give your young qb EVERY opportunity to succeed, not draft a TE that might be good in 6-8 years, esp if they are recovering from injury, that early in the draft
The only counter I can buy to that is it would take a sea change of thought to get Bear fans accepting a move off the lake, let alone out of Chicago. Chicagoans have always said Chicago is Chicago, the rest (including suburbs like Blue Island) are greater Illinois. I can see that plight.
That being said, it would be far cheaper to just rip the band-aid off and do it already. Build a winning team, and nobody cares.
I'm actually more concerned its Williams, not Loveland thats the issue. But when someone floats "it was a toss up, 60-40", thats not at all a toss up. Loveland was hurt (?) and Warren was ready. duh, poles, duh
When the first drive was happening, I at first thought Caleb was improvising because the Vikings D was so good last year at disguising what they were doing that Caleb was having a hard time finding an open guy. And maybe thats the case. But still, he had EONS of time to sit in that pocket and sooner or later, you'd think he'd see an open guy
