  2. I had some in January/February and can attest that this is legit. I always thought I didn't like Chicago style because every place around here makes a garbage knockoff. Quit fighting about which place is best up there because it's all horsefeathering good. stop trying to steal our Mormon you heathen
  3. You thin crust fockers are gonna push us away from Harper

  8. Bears go from no SNF home games since like 1987 to 2 in 4 weeks. Sent from my moto e5 supra using Tapatalk Same think happened in 2001 and 2006
  9. While at the UC last week I noticed they now have Giordanos, by far the worst of the deep dish Chicago chains They have also invaded downtown Denver. like a fungus. a gloriously cheesy fungus
  10. who? anyway, i remember that pretty vividly. i also remember being quite drunk and watching this with my family. i also remembered the reggie bush showboating thing that pissed off the defense (that storyline was funny given that they were playing for a berth in the horsefeathering superbowl but whatever). i remembered the wale forced fumble on brees and the safety too...forgot that it was on intentional grounding tho. Burnerd Barryon Bernard Berrian
  11. Classy tribute to Da Bum. da Bum: our Culinary muse
  12. the snow! and Lovie looked so young
  13. I had a Westside bbq chicken Saturday night with my daughter and wife. Its delicious take-out pizza and easier to acquire then Papa Johns. Also, a side of cheesy breadsticks.
  14. Oh comon, the Jets are clearly in full rebuild mode. Give us your best coach already
  15. It is, I just hope he doesn’t cost us a playoff game on a poorly aimed 35 yrd’r. As it stands, I’d have enough concerns with his potential that going for it on a 4th and 6 from the 35 yrd line instead of the “sure thing FG” would seem like a viable option. I just want him to be slightly better then league average. He’s not close to that right now. That would be a 52 yard FG. It's always a viable option. And history shows he will likely wind up slightly better than league average. 4th and 6 is never a sure thing, in fact, its probably less likely to achieve a 1st down on a 4th and 6 then connecting on a 52 yard field goal which I feel is something every NFL kicker should be trusted with. Sure its a long one. Its also not 62 yards long. And at that spot you're only other viable option is a 30 yrd punt. In a close playoff game, I'm not sure leaving those 3 points on the field because your kicker can't horsefeathering aim correctly is an acceptable thing. And that's the thing about Parkey, he has the leg, he just aims his kicks very very poorly at times. That seems correctable except he hasn't corrected it. Someone else (might have been you) mentions that special teams have sucked across the board. Is this a coaching issue?

  17. Well there are likely replacements who could hit higher than 72%, maybe even as well as league average (~84% on FG and 95% on PAT). You know who else probably will? Cody Parkey (84% and 95.8% career averages). Great. He SHOULD be league average. Instead, he’s currently well below it. I look forward to him hitting his next 15 in a row.
  18. 4 times. honestly, it kind of reminds me of Goulds first year where he was missing (and missing a lot). That time, it was def the wind causing most of his misses. But if it isn't the wind or ball placement or a slick turf causing Parkey issues, then he just sucks. You can't tell me there isn't a viable replacement out there who can reliably hit xp's and higher than 72% on FG's w/o the field being the cause. You can't tell me that you saw the kicking between Gould and Parkey and still believer there is a viable replacement. Like Jersey said, he hit the uprights 4 times. Literally missing by inches (you can hit the upright and still make a kick, so this is literal). He was fine before yesterday (not good, but fine). He was bad yesterday, but not that bad. He'll likely be more like before yesterday than he was yesterday. The goal posts are 18’-6” wide. Wth is he aiming at?
  19. considering the unique relationship wind can have for this players performance (kicker), I would disagree. i would think of all the players, the kicker and punter have to be able to understand how the wind works in their home stadiums the most. And if it isn't that big of a deal, then he just plain sucks at his position. This might make sense if the wind was pushing his kicks way off the mark. 20. Honestly, those numbers are better than I thought. But he's missed 5 out of 18 FG's now, missing 2 XP's notwithstanding. That just isn't acceptable especially when it appears he doesn't want to get to know his home field because of "traffic". He will now, obviously. And none of my criticism had anything to do with his "manliness". It can be entirely unacceptable and also our best option at this point. That could be true. and it would suck. He isn't having a huge effect on the games when we score 4-5 td's and lead by 17 at half, but in a close playoff game do you trust him to hit even a 45 yarder?

  23. based off of twitter, it seems a lot of chicago sports radio talk is saying parkey didn't want to spend the extra time driving into soldier field to practice a couple times a week. In earnest? I don't get the concern. Regardless of the traffic, he plays for the Bears. I would guess the fine people at Soldier Field would allow him to practice whenever and for how long he needed or wanted to. So to me, the traffic argument seems lazy on his part. Sure, it might take him 1.5 hrs to get there, they aren't going to make him rush through his workout or turn him away.
