  1. Bote isn't spectacular, but relatively cheap reliable production. He might be a good option to flip for a solid reliever to a small market team looking for his bat. I say this w/o really knowing what the FA reliever market looks like, and it depends on keeping Happ and Hoerner around and may necessitate Garcia if you let Zobrist walk. What FA utility guy will be available this offseason?
  2. is smoltz yammering on about how good he was and how bad current pitchers are?
  3. "start"? That’s what they said. Starting in October Fox will be airing WWE on Friday nights. I missed the "that" in your post. I mean, Fox airs crap every night.
  4. RIZZO!!! and thats the only run we score
  5. yes, this is right. winning in Denver in Sept lately has been impossible given the team they had and considering they have been a team that starts the season hot. I wonder how much of us winning was Denver on the dive or us being good. Either way, I'll take the win
  6. I think I'm behind you guys, but god Wick was a find
  7. Alex Smith is a Bremerlow, so your comparison shortsighted
  8. it was meant to mean that Eli was hugely disappointing his first 3 years in the fact that he was just...mediocre. Now, Eli won a couple of Super Bowls-some would even say despite the fact his team was quarterbacked by Eli Manning. He does have that above Mitchell. But in the end, my only real point is if you think Eli is somehow an improvement over Trubisky at this stage of Mannings career, you're nuts. Or stupid. Or perhaps, full of gumbers pee balls. Eli was actually the one example I was able to find when I went looking for recent QBs who got significantly better after year 3 (this was right after week 1). Everyone else was basically who they were by year 3, if not year 2. again, I realize the way they play is completely different, it isn't without precedent to think the team could win with Trubisky and his current career trajectory. Like, maybe it would just click for him. IDK, its the only hope I have at this point
  9. this season, Cohen has had 2 dropped passes https://scores.nbcsports.com/fb/leaders.asp?type=Receiving&range=NFL&rank=232 Oh, this season. Yeah, that seems more likely. The previous poster seemed to be referring to this past game, so I thought you were referring to just that game, also. yea, I see the confusion. *I thought* Hairy was talking in terms that seemed to me to be this season, not just last game, hence my comment.
  10. Cohen had two dropped passes by himself.... I don't recall two missed passes. There was one that should have been a touchdown that was badly underthrown and while it did hit Cohen's hands, the defender got his hands in there to knock it out. I don't count that one as "dropped". this season, Cohen has had 2 dropped passes https://scores.nbcsports.com/fb/leaders.asp?type=Receiving&range=NFL&rank=232
  11. I don't know what this means considering how incredibly different these two QBs are, but my god it will be a miracle if Mitchell somehow gets to 24 touchdowns this year. it was meant to mean that Eli was hugely disappointing his first 3 years in the fact that he was just...mediocre.
  12. He used to make 4 good throws for every one weirdly inaccurate one. Now he's making one good throw per game. That 4:1 ratio seems like a reasonable assessment of last season. The 1 good throw a game might be hyperbole. Just based on rewatching game 1, I'm not sure there were 10 good throws to even make the whole game (excluding check downs). He probably missed 3 or 4 of those completely (i.e. Didn't even see it), missed 1 or 2 with inaccuracy. Had 1 or 2 dropped, and made the rest (but only 1 or 2 were "wow" throws that could be used when someone wants to put a mixtape together showing how Mitch can "make all the throws") Cohen had two dropped passes by himself....
  13. the first half of that is correct, the second must be something from your childhood. I'm sorry, I wish you nothing but the best.
  14. Eli Manning is the epitome of Mitch Trubisky through there first 3 years. Why would trading for him at the end of his career make any damn sense to anyone?
  15. Minshew lit up the best Pac 10 defenses. Hes from Wash St, and while I hate the cougars, he was a decent prospect who didn’t get drafted high because 1) he played in a Mike Leech offense and everyone puts up numbers in his offense 2) he played at Wazzu
