    i just think he's been coddled too much. the lazy int was just that: flat out sloppy/lazy throw. I'm not big on lighting people up on the sidelines, but sooner or later Nagy needs to find a way to get mitch focused. eta: make that immediately, not sooner or later

    I'm old enough to remember the playoffs 1986 and 1987. Hate the redskins. They should collapse the franchise based on racism, but I'd enjoy it just because we've had such a tough time with them. Maybe my fav game was a Sunday or Monday night game that Urlacher caught a fake fg for a td..2001?

    Indeed. I'm stunned. Eli Apple is shaky at CB, but this might be the best defense of the Payton era. The 2009 SB team had a nice D but relied on getting paid for illegal hits. This D is a force. comon now

    I think youre right that at least one of Rizzo/Bryant/schwarber/Contreras will be out, but id say in order of most to least likely itd be Schwarber/Rizzo/Bryant/Contreras. Schwarber is pretty obvious, but i put Rizzo as 2nd most likely simply because its easier to replace a 1st baseman, and his contract seems to give him some excess value that will start to deteriorate rapidly as he gets closer to FA. If youre gonna trade Rizzo rather than watch him leave via FA, the time to do so is this offseason. We have inhouse options to replace him, too. But id rather go outside to replace him if he did get traded. I think you have it backwards

    Yea but had they drafted Correa they never would have traded for Addison. Thats like a win-win for the evil-doer Ricketts. You miss on a star, and you plague your team with a true demon

    Has anyone checked recently that Robel Garcia is actually alive? Yep the three sliders for a strikeout would have been a better option I think the point NSS is making is that Tony Kemp is hardly a great pick up late in a post season run. However, it presupposes the team getting him doesn't have a slew of injuries or does have a competent manager; the fact of the former effecting our late inning substitutions and the lac of the latter dooming them.
