I mean I know he played for the Brewers, but that was like 3 years ago. I created that name on Brewerfan.net when he was a Brewer, and when I came here I just kept it. I didn't come into this thread to start a fight (even tho it looks like everyone wants to throw fists at me) I was just pointing out that a team like the Pirates are playing exactly the same as they were against the Brewers. A little bold for a Brewer's fan on this board methinks. He was simply saying teams get a little more geared up to play the Cubs because of all the hype in comparison to say, the Cards this year, who weren't expected to even be .500. Because being a Brewer fan has anything to do with that.. But ok. ok, being a Brewer fan has nothing to do with your perspective on the situation. Really, I believe you. It really doesn't. Alot of Cub fans agreed that a team would play hard regardless of the team they are playing.

LOL. But anyways, this game is already out of hand... I doubt the validity of this vast conspiracy. I figure the Pirates just wanted to give Karstens an extra day of rest, since he struggled his last time out. Didn't seem to work out for them, though. Hate to say this one's over already though. When the Nationals can put up a quick 6 spot, no game is really over. I just read that and found it really funny that someone actually thinks that a team trys harder just because its the Cubs. That's a very poor excuse. And yeah the game is not over but, the Nats also scored 6 in a windy wrigley field. I still think it. Don't really care what anyone else thinks. The Cubs are good enough to beat teams like the Pirates on some days regardless of whether they are particularly excited for the game. Pretty bush league to grab my comment from a dead thread and re-post it here just so you can get more attention for your comment though. Bush league? LOL, okay? But yeah, your allowed to have your own opinion, regardless of how wrong it is.

That was as good as it gets, watching them all act like little kids jumping up and down. I got chills watching that. Spain played out of their minds, and they played the best game of there lifes. USA! USA! USA!

Joe Mauer is the best catcher in baseball. Thats no knock on Soto either because Soto is also a very good catcher. But Mauer, is well.. He is Joe Mauer. He has not hit for as much power as everyone thought he was going to but Mauer is a guy who goes the other way most of the time. Former batting champ in the AL. And this year he is smoking leftys as well. He is such a special player. And he has a cannon for an arm. Again, not a knock on Soto, but Mauer is amazing.

Huh? They lost one player on offense. Yes it was a big player they lost but besides Rodgers how is it a unknown? Grant? I could see. They have one of if not the best WR group in the NFL. A improving line, and Donald Lee is starting to come into his own as a TE. I'm not sure I'd lavish that high of praise on them. They're one of the better WR cores, but they still are really 2nd tier. I can think of several teams off the top of my head that have better. Like who? Colts Pats Arizona Cinci After that there are a couple of teams that can be argued either way (Detriot, New Orleans, maybe one other that I can't think of right now). Indy? Probably Pats? No Arizona? haha no Cinci? No Arizona? Seriously? Yes they have Boldin and Fitz but after that? Come on now New England has Moss and Welker but Gaffney and co. would be battling it out with Ruvell Martin for the 5th WR spot on the Packers rosters. Cinci? Johnson and TJ are both elite but Chris Henry is.. well blah. He has talent but he cant stay on the field to prove that. And Chatman wouldnt make the Packers roster. The Packers 1-5 have the arguably most talent and depth in the NFL at the WR position. The Colts are probably the closest however. Gonzalez would probably start over Jones but after that... And Wayne and Harrison are obviously elite but after that it would be Nelson and Martin over Hall and whoever else they have. So I would probably give you the Colts.

What are you basing the Vikings prediction on? The Tavaris injury? I heard it wasn't really that serious. Though I admit I haven't really been following them all that closely. Im basing it on the Vikings being overhyped. Peterson IS a special player behind a great line, but I don't belive Jackson is good enough. Also, the Vikings pass defense is getting older and was not good to begin with, I see Winfield and Sharper taking a step back and the rookie Johnson? struggling a bit. Allen should help rushing the quarterback but he really does not look to good stopping the run (even tho he does not have to). I just don't buy into the Vikings.

Here is how I see things shaking out so far... 1. Packers 10-6 2. Vikings 8-8 3. Lions 6-10 4. Bears 6-10
