  1. And I laugh at Bears fans who think that Favre going to the Vikings isn't going to improve them and make them even more the fav for the division. Brett Favre at age 40 is not likely to play the entire season, especially coming off a injury. elcaballo, meet Mr Rosenfels. Im a Packer fan. Fun fact: Brett Favre has never missed a start since becoming the starter in Green Bay... But sure, he will not make it throught the season THIS YEAR.
  2. And I laugh at Bears fans who think that Favre going to the Vikings isn't going to improve them and make them even more the fav for the division. SInce coming to Chicago Lovie Smith has had Favres number, and that was a younger, healthier, and better Brett Favre. Im not worried at all about Brett Favre Have you forgot about Adrian Peterson? The problem, as has been mentioned by others, is that getting Favre will take away touches from Adrian Peterson. Favre is a lot riskier as a turnover machine while Adrian Peterson should have more touches than anyone in the NFL. The Vikings are still going to run the offense through Adrian Peterson. Favre threw a avg of 4.5 more passes per game then Jackson/Gus last year. And Brett had to throw the ball alot.

  5. Saying that every Bear fan and a Packer fan is excited about Favre going to the Vikings does not show me all I need to know.
  6. His last 6 games have will have no effect on how he plays against them this year. He is also 22-10 in his career against the Bears. His last 6 games are a much better indicator in how he will play than what he did in his 20's and early 30's. I welcome his return if only to improve the Bears record against him. I belive the Vikings are better then the Bears. So I don't see that happening. Before this offseason, they were a little better. That's not the case anymore. But its is. And thats where we disagree.

  8. How do you come to that conclusion? If Cutler is a better QB than Favre, that means the Bears improved more than the Vikings in the offseason. There was only one game of difference between the two teams last year. Little separation between the teams plus the Bears being more improved than the Vikings leads to Minnesota being more likely to win this year? I don't understand. Just because Cutler is a better QB doesn't mean Favre can't have a better year. Favre has more to work with around him, and he isnt going to be asked to more then what Cutler is going to be asked to do. I belive the Bears overachived last year, and their core players on defense are getting older and might be losing a step (see Urlacher, Brian). No, the fact that Favre isn't good and is very old and injury prone is the reason he can't have a better year. ](*,)

  11. Manny must got sick of hearing all about Brett Favre so he wanted some attention. Manny being Manny.
  12. Because you don't understand that Brett Favre isn't that good anymore. His stats last year before he got hurt would disagree. And for the 300th time, he would not be throwing the ball 30 times a game. He will get defenders out of the box and Peterson will rush for 1800 yards. He does'nt even have to have a better year then Cutler stat wise.
  13. Oh he is? Jay Cutler's a much better quarterback than Favre is right now. Don't let your Favre love get to your brain that much. Did I ever say Favre is a better QB? Im saying Favre this year has a better chance of winning with the Vikings then Cutler with the Bears. What did you mean by your question then?
  14. Think about this... 3-4 years ago.... Favre Grossman Culpepper Harrington 2009... Favre Cutler Rodgers Stafford
  15. Sure, but they will still need to experience the actual games too. You can't totally substitute game experience with practice. The Vikings receivers will have that same adjustment period with either Favre or Rosenfels. Honestly, I'd go with Tarvaris Jackson over either of them. He has the most upside and probably won't be significantly worse than either. Let him try to develop or pull a Titans and bring in a decent veteran who won't do anything great, but also won't make major mistakes (Gus Frerotte perhaps?). Tarvaris Jackson is horrible. He could be the worse QB in the league and im not even kidding.

  17. Ryan Braun :)
  18. No, but Favre is only an upgrade over Safe/Tavaris is name/reputation only. Favre was a great player, but I just don't see him improving the Vikes at that much. He won't hurt, but after watching last with the Jets, it's clear he doesn't have much left in the tank. Again, before he got hurt last year he was completly 65 percent of his passes. He had thrown 20 TDS. He was turning around a team that was 4-12 the year before. He played bad when he got hurt because he played throught it and he had to throw the ball 30+ times a game. He will not have to do that in Minnesota. It's not like last year was Favre's only bad year. Look at 2005 and 2006. 70.9 and 72.7 QB ratings. That's absolutely horrendous. QB rating? Really? QB rating is a horrible way to judge a QB. BUT if we were to.. Jay Cutler 86.0 Which would rank 16th in the league.

  20. It makes Minnesota better, but I still think the Bears are the favorites for the division. And I'm a Titans fan. Im a Packer fan and im saying the Vikings with Favre are head and shoulders the fav in the division. Maybe im biased but im not buying this Bear hype at all. But thats just my opinion. They barely beat the Bears last year. Vikings get Favre, Bears get Cutler, I don't see how Vikings vault to head and shoulders status. Favre will lose them games. There is no doubt. Right, and Cutler won't lose any games for the Bears?

  22. Exactly. People keep saying "Well, he's better than Jackson or Rosenfels." That's probably true. But with those guys, you don't feel the pressure to keep throwing all the time. When Favre is on your team, he's going to throw, and he's going to throw a lot of bad picks. And alot of TD's. Brett Favre before he got hurt. Entering Week 12. 65% comp perc. 20 TDS/12 INT 8-3 team record He won't throw all the time with Minnesota like he did with New York. He will also have the best RB in the league to hand if off to. Berrian, Rice and Harvin will be a nice group to throw to. Also Minnesota has one of the best D's in the league. Favre makes the Vikings a Superbowl contender. Cherrypicking endpoints. And you can't discount when a QB his age gets hurt. He's likely to be playing hurt a lot. Have you seen Minnesota's O line? Its pretty good. He would have to throw it about 20 times a game. Any Bear/Packer fan that is saying Favre to the Vikings doesn't make them better, they are wrong.
