  1. 2 on with 1 out and he gets out of it unscathed. Nice.
  2. Greinke faced the Cubs three times last year. He went 2-1 in 19.2 IP with a 3.20 ERA with a K/BB ratio of 26/7. Box scores below if you're interested. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN201106160.shtml http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/MIL/MIL201107270.shtml http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/MIL/MIL201108280.shtml
  3. I found the video. At 1:10 he starts talking about it. He doesn't say "easiest", however says "you can build the bullpen quickly when you need to". http://www.csnchicago.com/pages/video?PID=WMi5eRP8Q_6ngfmQa5EcFgcw8v0KB0Qi
  4. I believe it was on the pre-game show Saturday where Jed was getting interviewed. He stated that creating a good bullpen is the easiest thing to do while building your 25 man roster. While watching this particular bullpen makes me not want to watch baseball anymore, you have to have faith in the guys making the decisions. With that being said, I hope we find out this year at the least that one of Dolis/Lendy/etc. stick long-term.
  5. I have Greinke AND Garza. I'm hoping for a 1-0 Cubs win where K-Rod gives the run up while Garza goes 9. 8-) Not really expecting to win this one. Greinke dominated that Cardinal line-up in his first start.
  6. Yeah, once Rizzo and B-Jax are up, these losses will be easier to take (hopefully). We just have to remember that this losing will all pay off one day.
  7. Such a great game. Shark looked fantastic. If he pans out and becomes a piece in the rotation going forward, that will be so beneficial.
  8. I just don't know what to say. There's no point.
  9. Effects of not enough spring work for Wood?
  10. I'm going to assume that's a guess, because there's no way Sveum would be that bullheaded. Twitter is man's new best friend.
  11. I'm excited to see if Dolis is a long-term piece for us.
  12. Oh, Soriano. At least he made the play...
  13. Awesome inning. We've hit Gio well today.
  14. Still love you, DeRo. But I'm glad you're in LF against us.
  15. Nice piece of hitting to re-gain the lead!
  16. What I don't understand is this - let's say we acquire him. Does he go to Iowa? If he's on the MLB roster, who's out of the rotation?
  17. Ah, come on Soto. Good inning though. Gotta make Gio work.
