    I wonder what the average age of our lineup is.. .Its mid september, we are out of the Playoffs, and yet, not one rookie or 2nd player in there.. I also like how Dusty hated playing Hairston earlier in the year, but now he can't get enough of Jerry (I don't mind Jerry, I just find it odd that now that his veteran LFs are gone he gets Jerry out there over a kid who is a LF)

    Nah, this is the Dusty Baker managed Cubs. They fall out of the race with some losing streaks, then they get just close enough to get the fans hopes back up, and then they'll tank... They are almost close enough to start getting fans hopes back up, so they'll probably win 2 or 3 more in a row, then lose 5 or 6 in a row to finish it off.

    Thanks guys, I changed my line up to Kevin Jones and Ahman Green (seems to be the unanamous (sp?) choice) Both defensives are pretty bad, so hopefully they both do well and ahman can hold onto the ball.

    What is this so called "book"? How would dusty know about a scouting book? I don't think i've ever seen him look at one. Its always funny watching the cubs vs cards games and they show Baker and Rothchild and they are just sitting there with there arms crossed, while in the Cards dugout they have about 6 3 ring binders open flipping from page to page, I guess thats the "book" he speaks of, maybe he should ask for a copy too.

    Haven't seen you in a while Too Tall, welcome back. Words and emoticons can't express my disgust at that quote about Neifi. Thanks CPatt, switched jobs so I can't be on here as much so I try to keep a low profile, but I keep getting sucked back in :D

    No, a Pirates fan goes into the season knowing there have no hope of making the playoffs and will have young guys play. The Cubs on the other hand get our hopes up and then tank, and we get to watch old crafty Veterans over rookies who bust there butts off, and hustle to first base on an infield grounder..

    What usually happens when he puts the worst imaginable line ups out there, is the cubs score 6, 7 runs a game. Never fails.

    Why do you hope he tanks? I'm not familiar with Sisco, please inform me as to why there is such concern on this board about his performance. He's a former Cubs minor leaguer who got picked up by Kansas City in the Rule 5 draft (I believe thats what its called) and he has to stick on there 25 man roster for the entire year, or he comes back to the cubs. So if he tanks, they'll be more inclined to let him come back to the Cubs. (someone correct me if I'm wrong, I think thats what i've learned reading this board :-D)
