  1. It's not really Aramis is it? It's Jacque? http://i.imgur.com/co3ZrHS.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/qSEfhSc.jpg?1
  2. I know right? Looks nothing like him. But I got one when my brother and I went to the Cubs vs Reds back in like 06 or 07 or something.
  3. Likewise. Plus I still have this! http://i.imgur.com/decvarN.jpg?1
  4. Because our FO is run by dynamite gents who reward good performances with money as a sign of respect and loyalty. http://i.imgur.com/sqBmE.gif
  5. Well he did hit 25 last year and 30 the year before. http://i.imgur.com/QXSvp4S.gif
  6. They've also yet to prove that they can develop a successful pitcher who was drafted and came up through our system. The only guy on our current pitching roster who was a draftee and came up through our system and reached the major leagues and had some actual success at some point is James Russell... and he presently sucks. I have more faith in our FO to find other pitchers who are good and acquire them more than I do in the team being able to develop great pitchers, since they have yet to prove that. Once guys like Pierce Johnson and Duane Underwood etc. can make it to the show and prove their worth, the jury is still out on our development program being successful with pitchers. All the other Cubs guys who have spent enough time in our system to be considered "our guys" who have come up and pitched in the rotation or bullpen have been pretty awful or just mediocre (Schlitter, Roach, Beeler, Rosscup). Everyone else was acquired from another team and had their mechanics and game tweaked at the major league level by the Bos, who is magical.
  7. You're gonna be shocked at what happened next He fixed the cable? http://i.imgur.com/T8zw8y7.gif
  8. Kris Bryant is now tied with Anthony Rizzo for most fWAR on the offense with 4.8 (Arrietta tops the whole team with 4.9).
  9. What do the rest of the numbers look like in that same time frame? probably amazing because he's been awesome lately Since August 1st... http://i.imgur.com/72xF62x.png http://i.imgur.com/gLGnEIb.png
  10. I don't know if Ryne Sandberg has any social media accounts, but this should probably be sent to him on his birthday every year.
  11. I think this would be an effectively annoying lineup... 1) Smashmouth - "All-Star" 2) Chumbawumba - "Tubthumping" 3) Ricky Martin - "Living La Vida Loca" 4) WHAM - "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" 5) Georgia Satellites - "Keep Your Hands To Yourself" 6) Justin Bieber - "Baby" 7) Creed - "With Arms Wide Open" 8) Limp Bizkit - "Rollin'" 9) Crazy Frog - "Beverly Hills Cop Theme" Needs Hanson and the Macarena. http://i.imgur.com/vESj1.gif

  13. They put up equal value in WAR and Soto played a more valuable position on the #1 team in baseball. He was the proper choice.
  14. Schwarber is already approaching, or has already surpassed, Kang and Duffy in several counting stats and he's played in 65-70 fewer games than they have. He will easily beat them out at year's end, IMO. Bryant, not likely, but the others I don't think it's much of a question.
  15. i hope shwarbs beats him out I was about to say if Schwarber keeps up this pace through September it would not shock me one bit if he wins it. And the narrative that the Cubs turned into an offensive powerhouse upon his arrival into the everyday lineup will only help further his cause to the meatbally voters.
  16. I believe it was when they debuted/were expected to debut, with the exception of Rizzo/Starlin. Correct. Rizzo goes first because he's the bestest.
  17. Pretty sure Inquisitr is one of those crowd sourced article websites like Examiner where they accept articles about pretty much anything as long as it's "good", which I assume means it's not written like it was by an 8 year old
  18. I know Fowler has been talked about all over the site, but figured I'd put this here: http://www.bleachernation.com/2015/08/21/dexter-fowler-is-playing-like-a-top-10-player-in-all-of-baseball/
  19. Jorge Posada had his number retired today, which immediately reminded me of this Brandon McCarthy tweet [tweet] [/tweet]
  20. Thanks for the pizza, Mike... http://mlb.mlb.com/sponsors/dominos/dominono/index.jsp
  21. Saw Buster Olney tweet a Baseball Tonight discussion about it. Is there more talk about it elsewhere? ESPN is pushing the idea pretty hard right now. http://i.imgur.com/NoIeNcg.png
  22. Even though the Cubs lost a few games I was never worried because they still scored an assload of runs, As long as they keep scoring runs they'll be fine. This game is an example of that. I heart runs
  23. Going to suck when Kershaw gets lit up in the playoffs again Or when they don't make the playoffs.
