    I did some utility work for an ESPN college football game Saturday and wore my Cubs hat. One of my coworkers was a Pirates fan. We shared thoughts on Arrieta vs. Cole. I said they have a real shot to overtake the Cards but he didn't seem convinced. He seemed scared about Jake (justifiably so). I said Cole is a tough opponent too. I don't know where this is going. He was a nice fan and we had a gentlemenly discussion about baseball. There was no stupidity. Sorry that was boring.

    define "bad" Striking out 1500+ times in a season. Well that's what Jonah Keri said. They're currently at 1,416 (well probably more after today). But getting to 1500 in the last week seems unreal.

    I was under the impression that Rizzo started the disco parties, but according to my friend in Tampa, the disco parties came over with Maddon. Not mad either way. Disco parties forever.
