    More on BA's stuff from their best tools list... Jorge Soler tied for 2nd in the best power tools with a 70 grade. Tied with 4 others (Xaner Bogaerts, Bubba Starling, Wil Myers, Yasiel Puig) Albert Almora is tied for 1st with the best defense grade at 75. One of three people tied for 2st, with one other outfielder (Jackie Bradley) and a catcher (Austin Hedges) Jorge Soler is tied for 2nd with best arm at a 70 grade. Tied with 4 others (Byron Buxton, Carlos Correa, Didi Gregorius, Aaron Hicks) Arodys Vizcaino is 1st (by himself) for best Curveball with a 70 grade

    Random thought/question: When was the last time a MLB team fielded an all African-American outfield? Was just reading on ESPN about Upton/Upton/Heyward and I was trying to think back to the last time there was an all African American outfield and I came up blank. I know the numbers for African Americans in MLB keeps dwindling down so it has to be something of a rarity these days. I'm probably forgetting a blatantly obvious one, but I'm drawing a blank.

    It wasn't worthy of a facebook status update for them. D-Backs Bullpen is none too pleased... Apparently, one of them has to be having a baseball IQ that is less than or equal to that of a rattlesnake - let's say, a diamondback - and yes, I know that the comparison is unfair to rattlesnakes of every species.

    His name is attached to the Biogenesis scandal. If the investigation uncovers any damning evidence he'll likely be found guilty of PED use.

    Mat Gamel tore his ACL again and is going to miss the entire 2013 season, after only playing in 21 games last year because of the injury. Corey Hart is also out 3-4 months after knee surgery, so they're going to have to draw from a pool of players including the likes of Alex Gonzalez, Hunter Morris, Bobby Crosby, Taylor Green and Sean Halton. Ouch.

    Based on his numbers in the minors last year it seems his main issue right now is finding a way to control his pitches... otherwise he's still got the uncanny ability to miss bats. Well controlling his pitches and the whole Mr. Glass thing that's plagued him his whole career. I would welcome him back with open arms, regardless if it were a marketing ploy or not.

    I completely forgot about Jose Vizcaino... looked up his numbers and forgot just how bad he was at offense. Highest OPS+ for any team was 99 in 1996 for the Mets... unless you count his final year at the age of 38 in St. Louis where, after being traded midseason from San Francisco when he put up a 47 OPS+ in 64 games, he had a 148 OPS+ in a small sample size of 16 games.
