  1. Let's hope Shaw hits well as a super sub, then can be traded for an OF bat in the offseason (or proves good enough in the OF to give him a job out there)
  2. Per Cerami Mods, delete since Derwood included more info
  3. ooof, failing to challenge ball 4 turns into an inning-ending DP
  4. Brown has done a good job after that first inning... eating innings at least, trying to give the offense a chance against this Nationals pen
  5. In case anyone is like me and missed this in the Events forum... @Southpaw19 runs this fun yearly event for posters, you should all join
  6. I would rather lose to Houston.
  7. C - Ben Rice - NYY - $75 1B - Vinnie Pasquantino - KC - $100 2B - Jazz Chisolm - NYY - $100 3B - Junior Caminero - TB - $200 SS - Bobby Witt Jr - KC - $75 LF - James Wood - WAS - $100 CF - PCA - CHC - $100 RF - Aaron Judge - NYY - $200 DH - Alex Bregman - CHC - $50 Total: $1000
  8. Danny P is going to be a star as long as he stays healthy
  9. Why would Schefter push that narrative in respect to the cap when everyone with a pulse knows the NFL cap is not real?
  10. Schefter was saying the same thing yesterday about them not having the cash, and then Bill Z mentioned extensions for Caleb and Wright playing a part in that, since they will have lots of guaranteed money that will have to be accounted for in those deals
  11. This doesnt account for improvement, which Caleb seems likely to show in Y2 of the system, as well as Loveland and Burden. It doesnt account for Rome, Jaylon or Kyler returning to full health (in theory)... yeah, I'd like to see some quality vets added, but as someone mentioned earlier there is a long way to go in the offseason
  12. I would certainly rather see them in the tourney than thoroughly mediocre teams like this year's Indiana and Auburn teams. Putting those type of teams in just shows we could reduce the size again
  13. Wright made plenty of legitimately good plays, the dude has ball skills. But I'm also not shocked they let him go
  14. Ryan Poles picks in rounds 2-4 2022 - Gordon, Brisker, Velus Jones - 2/3 good players, when healthy... 1 absolute bust 2023- Dexter (fine rotational DT), Tyrique, Pickens (bust), Roschon Johnson (basically a non-factor) and Tyler Scott (no value provided) 2024- Kiran Amegadjie (bust) and Tory Taylor (an average punter) 2025 - Luther and Ozzy (nailed it), Shemar Turner (injured), Hyppolite (non-factor) So in 4 drafts out of 13 picks he has made (not even considering the picks traded away), only 4 would I consider good picks, then Dexter being fine and Tyrique still having some potential but looking more like a bust and the jury completely out on Turner. Not even getting contributors in those spots has hurt this roster.
  15. Byard probably gone now, right?
  16. Signing DT Neville Gallimore per Rapoport
  17. Couldn't compete if he wanted to. #14 this year is a much better chip than 25, even if you expect the Bears 2027 pick to be more valuable
  18. You two are ridiculous. This Illini team still has an incredible offense and have had some tough losses lately, but the only two teams in CBB without any real bad losses this year are Michigan and Duke, and even Michigan had a near-miss with an absolutely wretched Penn State team. It's been a disappointing string of results, but I fully expect this offense to carry the Illini through the first weekend, and then we will see if they will play any defense or if it will be a series of shootouts til our hearts are broken again or we beat the odds and win it all
  19. I think of him and Kelly as more of a 1A, 1B split if they remain healthy and productive (which splitting games should hopefully help with). Like, unless one of them gets really hot maybe they each catch 75 games or so, get another 25 starts at 1B or DH and then get used to PH knowing we have a theoretical 3rd catcher available, especially since they would probably like to make those 1B or DH starts against lefties with Mo and/or Busch on the bench.
  20. And yet somehow Chris Sale has been healthy as ever, awesome, and got an extension
  21. Even more impressive than the goal, IMO
  22. Overtime Olympic hockey is almost as exciting as OT playoff hockey
  23. The biggest lesson in this may be that Kevin Warren is an absolute dope.
