  1. He has shown elite discipline so far, and as has been repeatedly discussed, the pitchers at A and AA have been absolutely unable to beat him in the zone. That's a huge point in his favor, no doubt. But he has 41 PAs at AA so far, so let's pump the brakes on assuming he will continue this and be able to do the same at the MLB level. I want him to be able to do so as much as anyone. It would be awesome having him in the OF next to PCA for 5+ years showing elite discipline and baserunning and what I would assume is very good defense. If he can keep this up in the MLB, he will be an extremely valuable player. But he isn't even close to being MLB ready yet. There are so many players who have dominated A and even AA and just never could get over the hump at AAA, let alone the majors.
  2. Why would the other owners care? This Bears stadium stuff isn't keeping the other owners from making more money, and I imagine the McCaskeys are probably well-liked around the league.
  3. Assad is far more valuable than he has any right to be
  4. Has abyone else ever hit a leadoff HR and a walkoff HR in the same game?
  5. with what we hope his baserunning and defensive value will be, probably. Especially considering PCA in CF gives a much better bat than that average CF
  6. Before we write off Cabrera for good, let us also consider that Clay Holmes also pitched poorly in his first turn off the injured list. Not that Cabrera has the track record of success that Holmes has, and had obviously pitched far worse this season prior to their respective injuries, but maybe he needs another turn to get right. Maybe give him an extra day of rest if you can to help with the blister issue but get him in there against a Seattle lineup that isn't exactly setting the world on fire (wRC+ of 91 as a team since June 1 against RHP)
  7. yeah, the lineup moving forward is going to be Nico at SS and Pedro at 2B. Could be worse, but obviously not ideal. Bigger issue is that now we do not have a reliable infield bench bat, because Shaw keeps jerking off too much or whatever and his wrist can't get healthy
  8. I love that it says he was one of only 6 with 300+ wins and 4k strikeouts, but also says he had 288 wins.
  9. I will believe that real punishment comes for a super-rich person when I see it. Don't get me wrong, I hope it does, but the world we live in today is full of super-rich (or super-powerful) people doing whatever they want and getting away with it all the time
  10. Drop: James Wood (LF- $100) Add: Seiya Suzuki (LF- $100)
  11. Jayden Daniels is suing LSU, saying that giving out the number 5 jersey is using his NIL and seeking to keep it from being given out. What a tool.
  12. Nobody is more upset about this than Michael Busch and PCA https://www.statmuse.com/mlb/ask/current-chicago-cubs-vs-miles-mikolas lol at PCA having 5 dongs in 11 ABs against him
