The idea that it has to be a former Cub is pretty meatballish. Brenley wasn't a Cub and no one stopped being a fan because of the hire. -

i was rooting for psu because i felt bad for the players. but now i'm forced to root against them since you're all like "welp penn state is super awesome again, glad i don't have to worry about nobodies like iowa." You're so easily swayed

And Paterno, and the administration, all of whom were culpable to varying degrees. It wasn't a Jerry Sandusky problem, it was an institutional problem, and that's whay the ill will persists. And I agree with all the ill will against the administration. But that administration is now gone. Please someone let me know when I'm allowed to support the school again.

The networks don't operate via morals. They put the teams on that garner the most viewers. PSU has an enormous fan base and will continue to play in prime spots until the ratings suffer

You getting all smug about people getting an icky feeling about a school that harbored a child molester for years is a little gross. I'm not smug about anything. Rooting for this current team =/= supporting child rape, no matter how many times people say it

Telling of what? That people can't separate the current team from the actions of the former administration? I think it's "telling" that people are actively rooting against a group of students and coaches that had nothing to do with Sandusky

I love that everyone roots against PSU now. Makes every win that much better #TeamOutlaw ed from bowls for 4 years. Which means PSU and Illinois will be going to the same number if bowl games the next four years Fortunately for Illinois the school isn't defined by its football program. Lol
