  1. Macias and Perez were HoF'ers compared to Brujan
  2. Houser scratched from next start
  3. He is in a slump (hitting wise), but he's also taking a lot of walks because there is no protection for him in the lineup. Moving Busch ahead of him took away one quality bat behind him, and with Seiya, Dansby and Happ all slumping, why give Tucker anything to hit?
  4. My guess is that they called up Ballesteros because their plan for Amaya coming up had to happen a little sooner than they planned. As soon as Amaya is available, either Ballesteros or McGuire will go away
  5. Amazing how our lineup of all stars is playing with their sphincters clenched while this Milwaukee team of fuckin' nobodies is lax and easy going and casually hitting rockets all over the place
  6. This team is so defeated right now. Have to do SOMETHING to shake things up
  7. Seiya, are you paying attention to these Brewers hitters?
  8. Someone needs to remind Seiya that he was crushing the ball when he was aggressive in the zone. SInce the ASB, he just leaves his bat on his shoulder until he has 2 strikes, then K's a ton. .135 average with 12 K's
  9. Seiya, Tucker and Busch aren't going to struggle forever, but would be nice for at least ONE of them to get hot. Seiya is the biggest concern for me, as he's striking out a ton. Tucker is at least drawing walks and making contact
  10. I didn't watch much baseball between around 1984-1992. I had been a Brewers fan (sorry) for the two years I lived in Racine (one year they went to the WS and lost to Cardinals). Robin Yount was my favorite player as a 7 year old. When I moved to State College, my fandom was pretty much 100% Penn State football. It wasn't until 1992 when I moved to Chicago for college that I got back into baseball. Part of it was having a friend who did baseball simulations on his computer, which lead to a lot of fun fantasy drafts, etc., and part of it was all the day baseball. The Cubs were bad, and on any given afternoon we could just walk to Wrigley and buy $10 tickets right before the game started. If we were bored, we'd just go watch a game. That obviously all changed with the Sosa/McGwire home run chase, and it's never been the same since. So I got to see Sandberg (and Grace, and Dunston, etc.) play on some terrible teams in the mid-90's. I can't say I was as big a fan as those of you who grew up with him (Sosa was my first real "favorite"), but I'm happy to have seen him live several times.
  11. The 2025 Cubs with Paredes (and Smith in the minors) is worse than with Tucker
  12. A convenient argument to never improve the team. Minor leaguers as magical "future hall of famers" is not a way to run a team
  13. It's pretty cool that no one on this team can hit a fastball anymore
