Last spring my daughter was in rec-league softball and one team had a) the best pitcher (by far) in the league and b) a crazy woman for a coach who was ruthless and also did I mention crazy So the rule was that the same girl couldn't pitch more than 2 consecutive innings, but she would always start this star pitcher in the 1st, 2nd and 4th innings, no matter the score. If her team was winning 12-0, out would come Cy Young to mow your team down. Then, while her girls were hitting, she'd stand behind the backstop and harass the umpire (who was often a 14 year old boy) about the strike zone he was calling.

It's messing with my brain. Whenever I read [expletive], my mind would just insert the proper word in there, but when I read "horsefeathers", it can only be horsefeathers.

Scherzer has almost 25 more IP than any Cubs starter That's largely because he has 30 starts and most of the Cubs rotation has 28. Correct, my point being that IP is an awfully bad place to start when picking a CY winner

I can see that being the case. But I always come back to.....if not him, then who? They both said Scherzer because of the difference in innings and K's. Scherzer has almost 25 more IP than any Cubs starter
