Not when they're meaningless nonsense, no, don't tell me I wouldn't say nonsense. When the series was tied at 1, 3/5 remaining games at Wrigley, and 3/5 pitching matchups favoring us, then 60% may have seemed a bit low for us. But now that we're down 2-1, with the final 2 games to be split home and away and the pitching matchups 2/2, the 40% seems about right. And if we win tonight, I suspect that it will shift to 50/50 or 55/45, in either team's favor. But yeah, it's very subjective. It's like saying today that there's a 10% chance of rain next Wednesday, but next Monday, there's a storm moving in, so suddenly there's 40% chance. The odds are based upon current conditions. So the oddsmakers ardent so much predicting the future as they are analyzing the present. Which anyone with a brain can do without 538's help

I'll concede on Soler scoring, but saying with certainty that Heyward doesn't get to a ball that dropped a few feet in front of Soler I just don't buy. Heyward is not only faster and has a better jump off the ball, but he probably would have been better positioned to start with

There are no routine foul balls with that wind. I get that most major leaguers don't bust it out if the box. Doesn't make it right. Soler made it to third without much of a play. He could've made it close at home.

How did that work out last night? Last night we scored zero runs and you think that's a reason the Cubs should not worry about offense as much? What do they say around here? Derwood gonna Derwood? You started Soler over Heyward, got nothing out of Soler's bat, but his defense cost us the one run scored, so....

Agreed re: interleague play. They also need to do away with player stats "resetting" when they're traded between leagues midseason. I'm pretty sure this has already happened. Seems like when the Cubs acquired Chapman that all the stats you'd see for him during Cubs games were just with the Cubs. I've seen various sports sites split up the stats as well
