  1. adam dunn offense would be amazing from schwarber, and this is a weird ass way to compare stats I'm aware of the sample size difference. Kyle's in his Age 22 season Dunn's age 22 season (also his first full season): .249/.400/.454, 84 R, 26 HR, 71 RBI, 128 BB, 170 K 128 BB's in a year from Schwarber would be unbelievable
  2. This ump calling strikes 6 inches off the outside corner all night hasn't helped
  3. Jose Altuve is slashing .494/.540/.747 over 89 PA's in July Is that good?
  4. I'm fine with him being Adam Dunn so long as there are enough other hitters around him to a) mitigate his high K's but also b) take advantage of his walks
  5. Schwarber thru 162: .222/.334/.461, 98 R, 36 HR, 84 RBI, 85 BB, 179 K Dunn career 162 game average: .237/.364/.490, 89 R, 37 HR, 95 RBI, 107 BB, 193 K
  6. Fun fact: Bartolo Colon has faced both Bellingers in the big leagues. and likely tried to eat at least one of them I'd say he succeeded
  7. Hawk was extremely entertaining yesterday. His meatbally outrage was something to behold
  8. I have a few friends who will die on the scouting grade hill with some players, insisting that various players actual stats are secondary to how they've graded out in the minors.
  9. He's Adam Dunn right now. That doesn't mean he always will be, but my friends who keep shouting about his "60 hit tool" can pound sand until/unless he actually starts hitting
  10. I have zero faith in this bullpen outside of Wade right now. Carl pitching here scares the piss out of me
  11. The average fan probably doesn't know much outside of 1908, 1945 and 2016. Hanging flags for 1918, 1929, etc. would be historically accurate, but most fans probably wouldn't know why they were there
  12. HAWK: "Too bad someone was on" (meaning they would've thrown at Lackey with an open base)
  13. I hope they bean Lackey and that he takes his bat with him when he charges the mound. We'd see the fight of the century, and hopefully Lackey would be banned from baseball for life
  14. Baez's approach at the plate today couldn't be much worse. Swinging out of your boots at everything is a pretty easy strategy to pitch around
  15. i need to know what he said after moncada got hit He's been salivating for half an inning about how awesome its going to be when the Sox bean all of the Cubs hitters. And there's the first one
  16. HAWK: "I hope the ump DOESN'T issue warnings, because then we can't hit them back"
  17. Hawk openly campaigning for the Sox to drill Cubs hitters now. What a goon
  18. He is Not hitting right into the shift all the time would help Yes please I mean, maybe, even though he's been sorta bad all year so....
  19. Well, that double by Rodon is going to rattle Lackey now, and he's going to give up a ten-spot. He's pretty fragile for a red-ass
  20. His real name is Ryan, so now I'm curious how he got that nickname
