  1. After the Cards put up 15 this inning it won't have mattered
  2. Hopefully they are dealing for him to try to woo Otani
  3. Not sure how I completely missed Mike and Mike splitting up (or announcing it, anyways).
  4. also the vaunted brewers offense destroys the baseball to the tune of a 96 wRC+, 13th in baseball Which has resulted in scoring the seventh most runs in baseball
  5. idk why i thought that was the cubs.com thing i remember going on the espn boards for jose vidro trade rumors. mike lowell and luis castillo too. It was a cubs.com thing. Ugh, I can't believe I actually read cubs.com forums on purpose
  6. Mystery injury for Grimm or Koji, or another round of drama with Seal Boy
  7. My only lasting memory of the espn boards was the constant, inane battle between the "Now-icans " and the "Dyna-crats " (or whatever they called themselves). Basically the win now group vs the five year plan group
  8. Baez vs. a knuckelballer will either equal massive donging or helpless flailing
  9. The misspelled name was kind of a give away
  10. The radar looks fairly clear around Atlanta. This delay can't last long
  11. Horseteeth activated, Butler sent down
  12. Take that....random handful of barely groomed conifer trees in center field!
  13. umps think the fans are there to see some wicked awesome umping
  14. ETA for game starting? Still listed as weather delay on mlb.tv
  15. That series popped our RD back up to +16. Should've been higher without the game 1 implosion. Atlanta is at .500 but has a -34 RD
  16. Lackey is going to be overrated and Montgomery is going to be underrated by metrics that try to normalize batted ball profiles. Montgomery is very hard to square up and gets a lot of groundballs, while Lackey is a strike thrower who has lost a tick and is now in an environment where more strikes than ever end up at or over the fence. Montgomery isn't perfect, and he hasn't seized the starting chance like I hoped he might, but he is still easily the 5th best SP we have. I'd really like Montgomery to get out of the fifth more consistently before I'm comfortable giving him a rotation spot
