Counterpoint: He's got a chance to win a ring. Mccann's really the starter but was hurt for a bit. Avila played some 1B and DH, neither which will serve him much with the Cubs I imagine. If he could spell Rizzo at first base once every 2 weeks that's a nice option to have.

We didn't. The team licked butts. We aren't going to pay attention to the Bears this year either, so get your incredulity ready in four years when we don't remember some random roster move this off season I have no idea how a joke about how ridiculous the name "Victor Caratini" is has spiraled off this far, but I'm so happy that it has. David forgets that he's plugged into the cloud and has instant recall of every sports transaction in history, and his circuits start buzzing when we humans don't remember them.
