Trey Wingo, who usually has the most milquetoast, tepid takes on the radio, really laid into the NFL about this. Completely called out the league using patriotism to turn a buck, called out Goodell's buddy buddy relationship with Trump, and said that with Trump and Pence chiming in about sports decisions, that no one can tell athletes to "shut up and stick to sports" anymore.

I was just at home and my main memory was being utterly exhausted. When the rain delay started I thought I might just pass out from exhaustion. All the games went so late, I had a job that required waking up at 6am everyday, and, as Mojo already stated, all the election stuff was happening at the same time, so the combination was just being completely mentally and physically spent

Because I'm a fan of a team that has played 19 seasons without ever getting out of the first round, and Vegas could win the cup on their first try. Gotcha. When the Marlins and Diamondbacks had won the World Series while I was still waiting for the Cubs to break through, I had a similar annoyed feeling. Vegas could very well be the Marlins of the NHL if they win early and then blow it up. The fans are really into them right now for all the obvious reasons, but will they get any fan support once the newness wears off, especially when they hit the inevitable decline in success

Yeah, I think it was about 4 or 5 minutes long, and was more about fan reactions outside the stadiums, in the bars, on the streets, mixed with some in-game highlights. Either way the part that got me was less the baseball plays and more the genuine emotion from the fans
