  1. You’re assuming Garroplo was available at the time we drafted Mitch
  2. It’s not a badge of honor, I would just get stressed out by all the suckiness. The Bears aren’t good enough to ever be on locally so the temptation isn’t really even there.
  3. yes why would anybody want to watch their favorite team's #2 overall pick starting qb when they could be doing...something... on a sunday at noon how is pure bandwagon/fairweather fanning even fun? do i gain interest/excitement when my teams are good? sure, but i never completely go dark on them. It’s not fairweathering when you know the team is garbage from the start. I want them to be good, but I’m not going to invest three hours every weekend to watching them suck. I barely watched the 2013 or 2014 Cubs either
  4. I’m impressed by all of your commitments to watching this dumpster fire team week after week. I don’t know why you do it.
  5. That’s called karma, Buckeyes. Enjoy being a two-loss conference champ watching the playoffs on TV
  6. I know it's great for fans to get a true champion, but at that point you're talking about kids playing a 16-game season (Ohio St has played 12 reg season, 1 conf championship game, this would potentially add a play-in game, semifinal, and championship game) for free. That's pretty ridiculous. The two teams who advance to the FCS championship generally play 15 games, and many of those players are only on partial scholarships.
  7. Doesn’t matter, because the Badgers are coming back to win this shizzz
  8. Hard to say. Wins over PSU, Wisconsin and MSU in their favor, but 31 point loss to Iowa should count against them. On the other hand, Bama didn't beat anyone terribly great (MSST, LSU), and they should (but never are) be penalized for playing FCS schools All of those OSU wins were at home. Best team they even played on the road was Michigan. Bama's best road win was Miss St so it's not like that is a whole lot better. But it really comes down to better wins and a conference title vs worse (and one more) losses. I think Bama is a better team and I'd lean towards putting them in because I can't get over OSU getting demolished by Iowa. But they're pretty close and I won't really care either way who gets left out. Wisconsin is a neutral site, but point taken. I think OSU could make it in but get their teeth kicked in again like last year. I don't think they're as good as Clemson, and Oklahoma already beat them (in Columbus)

  10. Thanks to whoever changed the thread title
  11. I have no reason to believe either side
  12. Also hysterical. I heard some reports that Fisher was flirting with A&M to get more money from FSU but the Seminole boosters told him to pound sand. What will truly be great is if the Oregon coach goes to FSU, and then Frost goes to Oregon instead of Nebraska
  13. "Multiple MLB Execs are making horsefeathers up to inflate their hopes of signing Ohtani"
  14. Eh, every case is just some intern spinning the "wheel of punitive nonsense" and seeing where it lands. There is not way to predict how or why the NCAA does anything. The sooner the Power Five break away from that organization the better
  15. Of COURSE the hobbled Altidore scores a goal
  16. 63 year old coaches with no recruiting ties to the state are the new market inefficiency
  17. Tennessee has now been turned down by about ten candidates
  18. The AFC is poo. Chiefs, Ravens and Titans are all holding playoff spots right now :pukel:
  19. Bryce and Ohtani can be new BFFs in New York
  20. Geno starting ends Eli’s consecutive starts streak at 210
  21. Sumlin’s early success at aTm was propped up by Manziel. The record dropped when Johnny left
  22. It seems like coaches switch schools within the SEC far more often than any other conference. You almost never see it in the Big Ten
  23. Fired coaches will be paid over $60million in buy outs (so far).
  24. If Schiano being an assistant at PSU during the time Sandusky was committing his crimes is enough for you, that's a perfectly reasonable objection to hiring him. His actual connection (that we know of) is based on hearsay, and his involvement wasn't enough to interest the Attorney General and investigators of the Sandusky case. If Peyton Manning suddenly announced his interest in the UT job, the moral high-grounders would magically forget about his sexual assault charges, there's no doubt about it. This isn't about Vol fans holding some sort of moral authority, it's about them (in part) being pissed that Jon Gruden shunned them
