  1. They have TE talent, and they’ve invested in the pos the past few years. O-line too via draft picks 57 total targets for TE's this season. So....fire the TE coach...for reasons? Seems like a token firing
  2. Eh. Same talent on the OL as last year. Two probowlers in 2018 and a promising young player. Every single player on the OL played much worse this year. Also, Helfrich and Hiestand were "in charge" of the run game. They did nothing to improve an already mediocre run game. Don't understand complaining about this. You rather they bring everyone back and act like everything was fine? Bring them back? Nah. But these feel like "we need to fire somebody but not the people we need to" firings
  3. That franchise is a complete clown show
  4. So the Bears announced the position coach firings AFTER the press conference was over? Wow, brave And so glad that they fired an Offensive Coordinator who doesn't call plays, a TE coach with no TE's, and an O-Line coach with an embarrassing assemblage of talent
  5. What on earth
  6. AFC ----- Ravens (+249) Chiefs (+143) Patriots (+195) Texans (-7) Bills (+55) Titans (+77) Every non-playoff team had a negative point diff. -------------------------- NFC ------ 49ers (+169) Saints (+117) Packers (+63) Eagles (+31) Vikings (+104) Seahawks (+7) In the "WTF happened?" category, the 8-8 Cowboys were +113 Two non-playoff teams were positive (Bucs and Rams)
  7. Comparing the point differentials to the final records of some of these teams is wild.
  8. 37 attempts to get 200 yards is the most Mitch stat line ever.
  9. Ohio State is going to penalize themselves to defeat
  10. Genuinely curious why you bring this up this year, when there are clearly three elite teams and everybody else. Pretty sure he was being facetious
  11. Burrow is next level....slinging 50 yard passes while on the run, right in stride. Dude is nuts
  12. Saw that. Awful
  13. Oh, you spent all those words talking about Almora as a joke? Sure, ok
  14. You couldn't even get Meadows' age right and that was your whole thing in the previous post, so I assume "we" is me? I will politely pass Nah, but in their defense it's basically impossible to market corner or DH bats who break out in their mid-late 20s as superstars unless they're David Ortiz or Edgar Martinez. Would I consider them elite hitters? Heck yeah, they're 9th and 11th/9th and 12th in wOBA/wRC+ among guys who took as many or more PAs this decade So you think every player’s age 22 season is the same? Or comparable? For reasons? Or maybe their first full year in the majors is a better indicator? Oh, wait, I’m arguing with the person who spent a dozen posts trying to convince us of Almora’s value (lololol)
  15. Meadows was 24 in 2019, put up .2 fWAR at 23 While shuttling between AAA for two different clubs. How about we compare first full years instead of same age years
  16. Meadows was a 4.0 fWAR player at age 23. Eloy was a 1.9 at age 22
  17. There’s maybe 5000 people in Yankee Stadium for this Pinstripe Bowl
  18. I'm picking OSU (not that I want to), but I think Fields' knee injury is a legitimate concern. If he's slow and cant be as mobile, a lot of what makes their offense great will be affected imo. Clemson hasn’t faced a defense anywhere close to what OSU is rolling out there. I don’t get why all the “experts” are picking Clemson
  19. Dabo sounds like he'd be a good fit to coach UCF Hey Dabo, how about you shut up until you beat an actual football team?
  20. Yes we heard you say that the last 3 years Stay tuned for my take in 2020
  21. You shouldn’t be bowl eligible if losing your bowl gives you a losing record for the year
  22. Eloy is a superstar slugger? Eh HR at age 22: Bonds 25 Griffey 27 Frank Robinson 31 Mantle 27 ARod 42 Jimenez 31 Pujols 34 Aaron 26 And because I'm bored: HR/fWAR at age 22: Bonds 25 / 3.3 Griffey 27 / 6.9 Frank Robinson 31 / 6.6 Mantle 27 / 4.9 ARod 42 / 4.3 Jimenez 31 / 1.9 Pujols 34 / 5.4 Aaron 26 / 6.9
  23. Hopefully they’re playing their backup LB too
  24. Eloy is a superstar slugger? Eh HR at age 22: Bonds 25 Griffey 27 Frank Robinson 31 Mantle 27 ARod 42 Jimenez 31 Pujols 34 Aaron 26 Lol, now compares eras. In Aaron's age 22 year (1956), 12 players hit 30+ HR's. In 2019, 58 players hit 30+ HR's
  25. Anderson had a fantastic season last year, but seems to be reasonably adequate if he does come back to earth. Eloy looks to be a superstar slugger at 22 years old assuming injuries don't get in his way. Madrigal looks like the old-fashioned gritty 2B (certainly more Nellie Fox than Ryne Sandberg), but he could have a decent ML career. Not sure why you don't like them. Eloy is a superstar slugger? Eh
