    We have been talking seriously about switching to YouTube TV, but the loss of the RSN's is killing that idea. Marquee isn't a problem for me, as I'm out of the blackout range, but losing local sports is a sticking point (even with MLB.TV, it would mean losing nearly 40 games of the season between Reds and Pirates blackouts).

    Freakish measurable are something to get excited about when the freak is also freakishly skilled at the position. penn state guys prefer to see the measurables in younger prospects.

    Of course he's talented. That's not my point. The combine is a place where everyone goes crazy about hand size and vertical jumps and 40 times, as if those are the only things that matter (as opposed to, say, actual game play)

    Nice win. I continue to be impressed with what Penn State has managed to do this year, but I fear they'll get that cursed 5-12 matchup and get ousted in the first round

    Classy moves today by the Astros. Force Bregman to read a prepared statement, take no questions from the media (for the players), then shove Dusty out there to answer all the questions when he wasn't even involved

    That's funny, because I don't see any of those. Yeah, I don't know how many times the guy who insists on sharing Trump tweets seemingly can't figured out that these ads are tailored to each person. Somehow, SOMEHOW, I also never get these ads. Weird. I also get 1-800-Flowers and OfficeMax ads, but I don't post tweets from them

    Yup. The NFL will start paying attention to them if they start poaching guys before they ever go to college (though the end result may be the XFL turning into an NFL Developmental League) Not sure getting 18 year olds will end up making sense, but maybe they could get involved with the "transfer" game. Rather than sit out a year, potentially put up tape immediately that spring and then declare the next year. I think there are a decent number of high school players who would gladly skip college and start making money at age 18

    I think they'd have to do something extreme like allow 18 year old players to join. That would generate some round the calendar buzz, much in the same way that college recruiting does now. Yup. The NFL will start paying attention to them if they start poaching guys before they ever go to college (though the end result may be the XFL turning into an NFL Developmental League)

    I thought you were exaggerating but holy horsefeathers, the 18-33 Wizards are only 3 games out of the playoffs. Jesus, the NBA is awful
