Off the top of my head, Wisdom has a triple and two homers on 2-strike pitches this week. He's still going to strike out a ton, but it's nice to see him not be completely useless with two strikes
10% of the season in, and the Cubs have the second best win % in the NL and a healthy run diff.
I’m hoping that if a slide happens (esp offensively) that Jed will be quick to call up Morel/Mervis to shake things up
The Oilers blew it at the end. They're going to blow it again despite having the best player on the planet. They are truly the Anaheim Angels of hockey
It's silly. The Blackhawks were 3rd worst, but have the worst odds to pick 3rd?
#1 - 11.5%
#2 - 11.2%
#3 - 7.8%
#4 - 39.7%
#5 - 29.8%
Whoever designed this system was drunk
Both I understand lowering the odds of getting the #1 overall pick if you don't finish dead last, but why make the #1 and #2 teams have a far greater odds of picking 3-5 instead of 1 or 2? Seems like it's being pushed too far
The odds of getting picks in the NHL lottery are pretty messed up, though. Why does the 2nd worst team (Jackets) have a far better chance of getting the 4th overall pick than getting the 2nd overall pick? What kind of lousy system is this?
