    I was actually looking forward to this game, but my local CBS has fucked me again (they've been in a contract dispute with DirecTV for the past 6 weeks)

    I kinda like the "only one team gets a bye" thing, as it really makes winning as many games as possible the goal (rather than taking your foot off the gas when you know you can win the division at 10-7)

    I haven't thought it through, just thinking about MLB free agency compared to NFL and NBA (where most of the signings happen in a very short time period). I understand, that the sports are very different in terms of structure, cap, schedule, draft, etc., so not at all an apples-to-apples comparison

    I might agree that we’re heading towards an A-division that’s just the SEC and Big Ten, but I don’t think that means bowl games are going away. They make too much money to just disappear for reasons.
