  1. rotoworld says that Houston is talking to Hunter
  2. i think if i knew nothing about the subject and guessed the leader knew nothing as well, i'd do option B for example, He has 15000 and I have 11000. He could bid 7001 to outbid me by a dollar if I double up. But if he lost, he'd be at 7999. So I bid 3000 in hopes that if we're both wrong, I still win by a dollar
  3. assume they're out of it
  4. give it time. i'm sure Tim will eventually traffic all Bulls posts from here to there
  5. Okay, you're in second place on Final Jeopardy but have more than 1/2 of the leader. Assuming you know something about the Final Jeopardy category, how do you bid? a) Bid everything (knowing the leader will bid your total x2 + $1) hoping the leader gets it wrong b) Assume the leader will do a) so bid so if you're both wrong, you win by a dollar. c) Bid $0 d) other

  10. i believe he was pretty public in stating that he'd like to return to Philly. Mike Lowell has interest there as well
  11. no news on Rotoworld besides speculation that Kobe might be in street clothes for tonight's game. or not. pretty unhelpful
  12. anything?? also, i thought the opener was on national TV, but it's only on CSN Chicago :(
  13. Its never about the money. Its about the respect and appreciation of what I do. The money is just a statement of that respect. not to mention that my union will not allow me to sign a contract that will lower the overall market at my position
  14. Jenkins will the left-handed "power" outfield bat Hendry wants and Murton will further rot
  15. yeah, i really feel sorry for Hendry. it sucks that he inherited that horrible contract. wait, what? he signed that one? nevermind
  16. by this logic, Mark Whiten is one of the top 3 hitters
  17. MACHADO??? how could i forget? the question was "top 10 Cubs catchers since 1992", right?
  18. So take a pay cut and then give him an incentive that relies greatly on the other 24 players around him? Nah, I don't think that will happen. and how pissed would the other 24 players be when he gets $100M for his WS share?
  19. because they want the money? This isn't complicated - he wanted out of new york and boras told him he would still get the money. for pro athletes, it's either about the money or about the money. and if they say it isn't, they're lying What a terrible generalization. It's not always about maximizing the money for every athlete. Sure it is for many of them. But there are dozens of athletes in different sports that have taken less money (or restructured deals) to go to a team with a better chance of winning a title, or improving their teams chances of winning a title. Frequently, it's athletes in ARod's situation - have tons of money and the big name, but really want the ring. And in baseball, the Yankees give you a great chance to win one, but they certainly aren't the only team that can regularly contend for a title by adding ARod (and other teams come with less baggage than the Yankees do). right, so they really aren't being all that altruistic since they already have enough money for 5 lifetimes
  20. rick wilkens scott servais tyler houston henry blanco benito santiago koyie hill rob bowen sandy martinez

  22. why does everyone hate on Boras for making his clients as much money as possible when that's exactly what his job is?
