  1. I'm in Ohio and the D-Backs/Dodgers game is blacked out. this is effing stupid
  2. Tigers up 6-2 in the 8th. Pujols just homered in Houston
  3. i've got all sorts of weird regional programming for sports in this market. SNY, MASN....i have no idea why
  4. so, i can see/hear the game on MLB Game Mix, but not the actual channel. yeah, that makes sense.
  5. Riot....... :D Or if you don't want to do that you could try calling them and asking what the crap's going on. once the kids go to bed, i'm going to go through and see which games are/aren't on and then make a phone call
  6. the DirecTV EI guide says that the Pirates game should NOT be blacked out for me. what recourse do i have here?
  7. so, yeah, apparently i'm in the Pittsburgh blackout area. pretty sweet, cuz you know, i'm not already blacked out for Reds and Indians. also, the Dodgers/D-Backs is blacked out for me too. brilliant, MLB...brilliant
  8. i'm starting McClouth over Rowand tonight. i think it's a safe bet that he gets 4 hits off of Dempster
  9. you can click on "match up" next to this week's game and see how you stack up. the score doesn't go final until after Sunday's games
  10. you lead your opponent in 9 of the 10 categories, and you're tied in the 10th.
  11. i wish they had kept track of inside the park homeruns back in the day. i'm curious how many of Babe Ruth's were just gappers that he ran for days on. also, balls that bounced into the stands were ruled homers at one time (as opposed to ground rule doubles today)
  12. That's incredible. I've always thought about making a blog dedicated to collecting those type of videos. Videos of watch party reactions, or just videos of crowds in general? Because I always loved the center field shot of the crowd of Wood's home run in Game 7 of the NLCS. I can't believe Wrigley didn't collapse. Just reaction videos in general, it's the best thing that youtube does. that's a brilliant idea. WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP as long as you sticky all the videos of people watching 2girls1cup and never let it off the main page
  13. they do the same with NFL sunday ticket and Girls Gone Wild videos i've said too much
  14. When the Cubs play on WCIU, or whatever weird station that is, and Pittsburgh doesn't broadcast the game, it hasn't been on EI in the past. correct. all 162 Pirates games were blacked out for me (in PA) despite the fact that 50 of them weren't available locally. speaking of which, i'm curious to see if tonight's game is blacked out for me. the game on Monday was, but that might have been because it was on WGN. we'll see.
  15. can we add Dumpster to the word filter? add White Sox while we're at it
  16. i've talked to DirecTV about it and they say it's 100% on MLB, and they (DTV) are just following the rules given to them I did the same thing and got the same answer. The agent I talked to agreed to forward the complaint, but I doubt that will actually happen. I live in KY so the Reds are the only team affected by the blackouts (except the Saturday Fox stuff) and I don't give a crap about watching them anyway. The way it works for Reds fans is VERY stupid, however. The local FSN in Cincy doesn't carry all of the Reds games. As far as I know several of their games go un-televised in their local market. I looked at their schedule a while back and I think I counted five games this month that weren't scheduled to be shown in Cincy. So, MLB could market EI to Reds fans (and other small market fans as well I am sure) as a way to see all of their team's games since all of them are carried by the other team's TV network. Of course, they choose to black the games out instead. Makes absolutely no sense, IMO. i believe FSN-Pittsburgh only showed 110 Pirates games last year, meaning 52 couldn't be seen by anyone, EI or not
  17. having the DH means nearly zero strategy for managers and no real need for a bench
  18. you realize the Cubs will lose 4 of 6 to the Giants this season, right?
  19. Extra Innings has both feeds, but the Cubs (726) is just SD while the Pirates (727-1) is HD
  20. Bynum & Sellin' Em
  21. He's a goon who for whatever reason thinks he's good at basketball. goon? is he out breaking kneecaps for the mob?
