  1. The fact that you feel embarrassingly compelled to reply to every one of his dumb posts with your own dumb posts speaks volumes. Haha how dare I respond on a message board. Why are we even here if we arent supposed to comment on this message board? Thanks for furthering my point. I've said my peace. By all means, continue with the ridiculousness.

  3. Why does everyone who's disagreeing with the worst poster on this site since Mizzou getting awful straw men attributed to them? That's a load of crap. I actually quoted the "I hope it gets overturned".
  4. His idiocy is so pervasive on the boards right now that I can barely bring myself to visit. I can't believe the mods have allowed him to troll for so long. I'm a troll because I 100% disagree with you? Interesting logic. You're continually asserting incorrect things after being corrected multiple times. That's an obvious failure to engage in a rational debate, and shows that you have no interest in listening to opinions other than your own. That's pretty much the definition of trolling. The fact that the other side is asserting that, for some amazing reason, players are "afraid" to speak their true minds because of some great fear of Attila the Hendry coming down on them is just as irrational, if not more, than the "incorrect" things being asserted on his side. Nobody's trolling. Its just a bad argument on both sides. Both sides of this debate are using incredibly stupid points. Get over your ridiculous message board pride and see the rational side of this, people. The truth of this is somewhere in the middle between "this is the greatest injustice ever done to a player and I hope it gets overturned" and "Bradley is the single biggest cancer since...cancer."
  5. They can create a more general Cardinals stat for PECOTA that takes into account both Duncan and LaRussa. They could call it the Statistical Transfer of Effort Reflected On Individual Deftness and Strength.
  6. As a season-ticket holder for several years, I can say with good authority that Bradley has gotten none of the treatment that Jones, Hundley or Hawkins got. Not anywhere close. In fact, he's actually probably gotten off light this year, given what Soriano, Fontenot, and Dempster have gotten in terms of fan reaction. Those guys have gotten murdered. Bradley gets more indifference than anything. The only time he got really torched was for about a week after the "thought there were three outs" moment. In other words, he needs to quit whining. This one isn't on the fans.
  7. Mostly, its a lie. He hasn't been seriously booed since the All Star break. He get stray catcalls and maybe 5% of the park boos when he strikes out, but otherwise, he's just making excuses. He certainly doesn't get booed as much as Soriano. Or Fontenot. Or Gregg. Or Dempster even. Do well, the fans will cheer. Play poorly, the fans will boo. He played poorly for the first three months of this season and got booed. He's now playing adequately and is barely getting booed. If he had done what he is doing now all season, he wouldn't be getting booed. Simple as that.
  8. I know that people love to do ledge jumping when rumors come up ("Grabow for Jackson? WTF?"), but the "report" to ESPN1000 was a comment by Harry Teinowitz, host of the afternoon show on their station. There are myriad issues with this report, namely: 1. Not one other outlet has picked it up, nor has anyone gotten any other confirmation on it. 2. Teinowitz is a notorious jock-sniffer, and it would not be surprising to see that his jock sniffing extends to front office types. Before people take this report as fact, you might want to wait and get some actual confirmation on it.
  9. Derrek Lee, Aramis Ramirez and Kosuke Fukudome all say "hi."
  10. Always love those discussions since they remind me of this. "Half of Jason Kidd."
  11. Cue the ridiculous overreactions to Sam Fuld's night and borderline racist disparaging comments about Soriano on all the SportsRadio shows in 3....2....1....
  12. The Boston Red Sox and Dustin Pedroia, Kevin Youkilis, Jacoby Ellsbury, Jonathan Papelbon and Jon Lester disagree. (exception that proves the rule, but dang, its always disappointing to point out what truly great front offices can accomplish)
  13. Okay, here's my situation. I'm in a 12 team keeper league, complete with 5 minor league bench spots. Our initial draft was last year and I drafted for the long haul, so my team came in last place. The core of my team is: Braun Wieters Hamels Votto Hamilton Broxton Alexei Ramirez (I guess) And my minor leaguers (aside from Wieters) are Travis Snider, Colby Rasmus and Fernando Martinez. Here's the question. I've been offered Justin Upton and Francisco Liriano for Hamilton. Given that my team probably isn't going to contend this year, is this a deal worth making? Liriano's injury history worries me and Upton has unbelievable potential but is very untested. I'm also pretty deep in my outfield. So....thoughts?
  14. On the other side of that coin (favorite players), we've put up some video of Sandberg throwing BP from last week. Maybe people can look at it and put Wood in that spot ten years from now.
  15. Gaudin's, by far, is the worst...saw him running with Marmol today and it is made worse by the fact that his head is clean shaven. This is also, by the way, the year of the beard. It seems like half the team has some weak "forgot to shave this morning" beard. We got more photos today and are in the process of adding some videos (a semi-funny one of Mike Quade should be included), so feel free to check out the site in my sig and see the pics/vids.
  16. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Didn't even notice that I wrote it that way. I guess Len Kasper is more insidious than I had originally thought.
  17. We're starting to get the videos up. First one is available now-its just a short clip of the guys warming up and having a catch, but it's a start. We'll be (hopefully) putting more together as the day goes on. I did a walk through of Fitch Field so that everyone who's never been here might get a chance to see it. Hopefully, that'll be next. http://fiveoutstogo.com
  18. Landed in Arizona on Saturday night. Sobered up enough to head out to practice this morning and got some pictures and video. We're going to try and post them up over the next few days. http://fiveoutstogo.com
  19. Yep. I must be. You win. Congrats. Back on ignore you go.
  20. And now you know why 75% of the board has him on ignore.
  21. That'd at least make sense. I'm trying to figure out how you figured out that he wasn't committed without monitoring his work effort. just strikes me as a lazy guy. laid back, california kid who got things handed to him from a teenager on (because of his bad-assery at pitching) and got too wrapped up in the "life is good" mentality. again, i don't doubt his DESIRE to pitch. i just don't think he's a "give it your all" type of guy. to everyone... disagree with me, fine. to suggest that my theory is 100% impossible is just, well, flat out stupid and insanely closed minded. As someone who had some shared social circles with the guy when he was in Chicago, I can verify that there are quite a few people who have spent a lot of time with him who agree wholeheartedly with you.
  22. Wow. 2 and a half pages dedicated to the validity of a poster on another message board. Congratulations...based on the length of this conversation, it can reasonably be inferred that you guys officially have the most boring jobs in the world.
  23. Yep, they are all shocked that their insiders were incorrect. Hilarious. I'm not sure what is more pathetic: people who hang on every word an "insider" has to write on a message board, or people on a completely unrelated message board getting off every single time those "insiders" are wrong. It's not that I enjoy the "insiders" being wrong. I simply got annoyed by people over there so drastically overvaluing their prospects while bashing ours. The last 2 offseasons have left me more than a little jaded when it comes to the Orioles. You mean like when they thought they could get Chase Headley for Olson? HAHAHA THOSE GUYZ WUR SO STUPID LOLZ

  25. Oh no how dare Hendry allow Kansas City to ask for players hes so stupid i cant believe he made this trade oh wait nothings happened yet well hes stupid anyway so there.
