  1. He almost looked as terrible there as he did his first at bat. I honestly wonder what Rich Hill and Felix Pie did to the families of a lot of people on here. The same thing that Ryan theriot did to others'.
  2. Cubs worst pitcher loses to the Brewers ace. Okay.
  3. It says "a new cycle begins on Monday. Hold out until then." "The syringe is hidden underneath the hotel bed" "1 shot: good idea. 2 shots: potential abcess."

  5. Or they'll just trade for Ronny Cedeno. He can do the work of six fielders simultaneously. Even if he could, he'd still get passed over for Theriot. Stupid Cubs management playing a guy with a .400 OBP. Morons, I tell ya. If we're going that route, Cedeno's is better. Of course, nobody would ever be silly enough to make a small-sample argument for no reason other than to be pointlessly argumentative. Or actually think that any manager in his right mind would replace a player he already chose as the starter and who is performing at an all-star level, for no reason other than to find everything and anything to complain about.
  6. Fukudome's been pressing a bit lately.

  9. I'll say. He called Ramirez out on that same pitch. I agree, but I am getting tired of umpires thinking they have to confront everyone who disagrees with them. Do they not understand competitive emotion? Lieber was frustrated, he didn't even say anything. At least it didn't look like it. Total Crawford here. It's the new breed of ump with the high horse mentality and the giant ego. They kill me...totally inconsistent, yet they get alarmed when players and managers get critical of them. I just don't want you to get into a jerkstore moment here. Hyaahahahaha!!!! They are running out of me. Really? I didnt know that. Must have happened when I stepped out. What happened to crawford? Taken to a hospital for unknown reasons. He "wasn't feeling right." Seemed to be chest-related.
  10. Theriot had to swing at two balls off the plate because this ump is a tool.

Before you go too much further slamming Crawford, he was taken to the hospital earlier in the game and isn't umping right now. I just don't want you to get into a jerkstore moment here. "The jerkstore called, they're running out of you." "Who cares? You're their best seller!" "Oh yeah? Well I slept with your wife." "His wife is in a coma."
  12. He's the best player in the history of the planet. This is an injustice on par with slavery, the holocaust, and new Coke.
  13. I thought that on Opening Day and last week when they were playing STL and I was watching those games. He looks absolutely huge. If he keeps this up, he's going to be unusable as a National League player. Fine with me. Ship him to the AL Should the Brewers give him the huge contract he wants? Talk about a dangerous contract...

  15. There is one solid pitcher in this bullpen. One.
  16. Equivocation. There are high-leverage situations and low-leverage situations. Kevin Hart in a high-leverage situation = deserve to lose. Now there's an example of equivocation. Marmol pitches the 6th-there will still be an unreliable pitcher in a high-leverage situation. Unless you want to give him more innings, after which everyone will complain about how he's getting overused.
  17. Were you expecting him to go four innings? There's got to be someone else in this bullpen that can prove they can actually get a batter or two out. Yep, I did say that I was expecting him to go four innings. Actually no, it would've made sense to use him either now, or earlier in the 6th inning when it was tight then. But hey, let's keep using our best reliever late in the game when it doesn't matter instead of a tight part of the game. Eventually, unless Marmol went five innings, one of these guys would have had to pitch. And this would have happened anyway. Unless they find more relievers who can get people out, it doesn't matter when Marmol gets used.
  18. If the real Chicago Cubs can get seven walks per game, I suspect they're going to win a lot of games.

  20. Not completely. Part of SLG's value is that it advances other runners. We'd have to add some weighted version. He's producing a lot more outs offensively than they imply. Then you need to incorporate the times when he effectively gets a single on a hit-and-run, thereby advancing the runner further than he would if it were just a single.
  21. I wish he'd stop doing all manner of stupid crap around 2nd base to keep costing the Cubs runs. Yeah, the jerk had the audacity to get spiked by Ryan Braun. What a jerk. I hope he tears his ACL.
  22. Wow. Just wow. That's just pathetic. It's pathetic that management's idiocy forces us to hope for these things to happen in order to get our best players on the field. Meanwhile, Carlos Marmol is protecting three-run leads while our mop-up guy is pitching in one-run games. No. Its pathetic that people feel the need to express their own idiocy by wishing injury on someone, regardless of how well that person is playing. End of story. You know whats pathetic? You thinking I was actually serious. I do want Cedeno in there, but maybe I should've used green font. Considering the number of people who agreed with you, it was a reasonable assumption on my part.
  23. HOW DARE YOU GET A HIT THERIOT! I'm a fan of Cedeno, and I want you to fail, even if it means the Cubs lose!
