    I think Marquis and Pie are in for sure. I still think Hart has the edge over Marshall (and Ohman). I hope Lou does the right thing and take Ronny. He's been out-hitting Fontenot (and Theriot, heh) in September and he gives the Cubs an actual backup SS. But Lou seems to have Fontenot much higher on the PH depth chart than I would, so I don't know. I might be counting wrong but if you add Marquis and Pie, there are still only 22 players. That would leave room for Hart, and Fontenot/Fuld/Monroe, and Cedeno

    I am from North Carolina, not exactly the hotbed of Cubs fans, but when I was in diapers the only team that was on tv most days were the Cubs (Braves were on TBS and we did not have that station then). I remember sitting in the attic keeping scorecards.

    NLDS is set to start on Wednesday. Games 3 and 4 are scheduled on Saturday and Sunday at Wrigley. Sorry, I've been drinking all day, so my brain is kinda mush, but, am I right in saying that regardless of how the other divisional/wildcard races play out, the Cubs will host games 3 & 4 on Saturday & Sunday, & that we'll be playing the NL West winner? If the Phillies or Mets win the NL East then we would play the East winner That can't be accurate, because those are the only two teams that can win the East. The first part of that statement is already 100% guaranteed to happen. Oops :oops: If the Phillies or Mets win the wildcard we would play the East winner.

    I'm pretty sure the Cubs could handle any team from the Eastern Conference. I think the Cubs could take the Colts in 7 games, unless Peyton pitched all 7 CUT THAT MEAT!!

    If we lose tonight and the Brewers win, we're still up 2 games with 5 to go. I don't understand why people are freaking out so much. The game is only in the 3rd inning. And if the same thing happens tomorrow we will only be up 1 game.

    Yea, i would put in Hart over Ohman, Cedeno over Fontenot (backup SS and has been hot in limited appearances). I do NOT want Monroe on the roster, although I think I would put him on. I would put on Fuld. He and Pie can be the pinch-runners and defensive replacements. By adding Soto we get one more pinch-hitter, so I think we could add Fuld and still have enough people on the bench. Huh? Noway you have 2 guys on the roster for defensive purposes only. Fuld wont, and shouldnt be on the roster. Woops :oops: I fixed it in my original post. I figure that Fuld will not be on, and Monroe will. Although, we would have enough pinch hitters to survive. Ward, Soto, Murton, Cedeno/Fontenot. How many times do you need more than 4 pinch hitters in one game?
