Face it... Indiana, even when struggling (which they will do in 08-09) is more relevant everywhere else in the world, outside of Illinois. Indiana is a national program who makes headlines whether winning or losing. Illinois is a team that no one outside of Big 10 country knows or cares about except when winning. Illinois is on par with the South Carolina's and Florida State's of the college basketball world. In 2008, that is irrelevant. I'm sorry if that stirs an Illini fans inferiority complex, but it's true. While Illinois might be irrelevant this year 1) Comparing them to Florida State or South Carolina is wrong 2) You are a Tennessee fan, so you have less credibility on issues of relevance than a UNC (MPrior) or UCLA fan (Raisin) I don't even like Illinois I guess he doesn't realize that if Head or Williams knocks down one of the four threes they had against UNC, we are a top ten all time program. Without the title, we are probably the best program without one. I get when the Kansas, UNC, UCLA, IU, UCONN, MSU, Syracuse, and Duke fans say we aren't all that good compared to their programs. But, when a program who has never made it to a final four is trying to shoot us down it is just funny. Once again, this is not an historical debate. How you cannot grasp that is beyond me. Must not be much reading comprehension taught in Illinois. Who cares what you would have been IF such and such had happened? Stupid argument. If Adolph Rupp had coached at Tennessee instead of Kentucky, Tennessee would be an all time Top 10 program. See how patently ridiculous that argument is? But, he did not coach Tennessee, and it is not a top 10 all-time program. When a program rises to the top for a year or two, their fans tend to get pretty cocky about it. Example #1) You Ahh, I see that you did not bother to read my entire post. Your comment proved exactly what I said. Glad to see that lack of reading comprehension skills is not limited to Illini fans. Example #1: you. GO LOSE IN THE SWEET 16 IN THE BEST YEAR OF YOUR PROGRAM
