  1. Miguel Tejada with a HR. 1-1.
  2. Cedeno with an RBI infield single. 1-0 Venezuela bottom 4th.
  3. Ronny Cedeno just singled to LF off Jose Lima.
  4. The Caribbean World Series is being shown on channel 626. Currently watching the Dominican Republic and Venezuela. Nice to see some baseball.
  5. See, that's why I hate games like this. Everybody has already forgotten that Simeon beat #1 Oak Hill. Plus, Loyola shouldn't be the #2 team in Illinois. Plus, I don't think it's a 40 point game on a neutral court. Maybe a 25 point game instead?
  6. I had the same thought...
  7. The reality is that most schools are so similar that top players like this really sign with a coach instead of a school. You're right though-Gordon and his dad had the responsibility of informing Weber. They were the ones who made the verbal committment, and they were the ones who re-opened the commitment. That was a mistake-the sad part is to see the fanatics in the UI fanbase make a mistake as well by doing things like threatening Gordon. No side is completely clean on this one unfortunately. In this case, if he truly signed with the coach then why didn't he commit to OU while Sampson was there? Or even have OU on his top list? It's just my belief that Sampson or someone from his staff contacted Gordon after his verbal. From my understanding it's an unwritten rule to not contact players after they have made a verbal commitment. It is in the big ten. That's where the controversy starts. KS also hired like three guys as coaches or film instructors with direct connections to Eric's family. The whole thing was pretty much disgusting for a guy who used to chair the ethics committee for the NCAA. Jeff Meyer, longtime assistant coach and from Indiana. Yes he once coached Gordon's dad. Meyer was at Missouri last year. I hope your not including Ray Macallum. He played against Gordon's dad growing up, also from Indiana. But he's been on KS staff at OU for a few years. I don't think Sampson is clarvoyant.
  8. Quit arguing over who's got the bigger "$%". Is this really the best team the state of Illinois has to offer?
  9. The coach, 99.9% of the time. I've always thought that.
  10. I think this is ESPN's rankings. And any high school team with three losses probably won't be nationally ranked. Understandable. But that doesn't mean a team with 0 losses is necessarilly good. Its high school, how could you possibly rank them?
  11. Who does High School Rankings? How could Gordon's team not be ranked?
  12. I hope this is as good as his career gets. Good luck with that. Kelvin Torbert Bracey Wright, it has happened before. That said I don't think it will here. Or Frank Williams? Frank might have been the third best player in Illinois that year behind Corey Maggette and Quentin Richardson, but other than that you are spot on. It was a joke... Most of my UI Fan buddies love to talk about how great Frank Williams is/was. Then in the next breath they rag on Bracey. Last I checked Bracey was in the NBA and Frankie was in the NBDL. Since you mentioned Bracey, that made me think of that. And I'm not really that big of Bracey Wright fan.
  13. I hope this is as good as his career gets. Good luck with that. Kelvin Torbert Bracey Wright, it has happened before. That said I don't think it will here. Or Frank Williams?
  14. Well Wiscy does play great defense and arevery well coached. Ithink they would suprise many with how well they would do against those type teams. But... They lost to an "awful" team last night, right?
  15. And he never physically unprepared for a game. He's was never lazy. It's going to be interesting. I bet he has a decent shot at having a good year. Decent shot at having a good year? What is defined as a"good" year? He wasn't very good in 2005, and then he took a year off. I think there is an extremely small chance he has a "good" year.
  16. Love the win, hate storming the court. Ratliff is such an enigma. It's great to have so many different guys able to contribute, especially on an off night for Wilmont and Bassett, but Ratliff is just so hot and cold. He's a blast to watch when he's hot like tonight, but when he's bad, he's really bad. I hate to say it, but he reminds me a lot of Charlie Miller. Let's hope he develops more than ol' Charlie did. Don't get too worked up about the court storm, they are mostly 18-21 year old kids. Just beat the #2 team in the country who came in to tonight with only one loss.
  17. Hoo-Hoo Hoosiers!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. They don't even really have a medium. The 40 is closer to a small (although plenty long) and the 44 is a solid large. Yeah, 44 is the closest I get I think. *sigh* How big are you?
  19. The neighbor to the South is always watching! :) The restless natives in Big Blue Country put away their pitchforks, at least for a little while after their Win over Tennessee today. I'd swear you would think the world was coming to an end with the KY media after a loss.
  20. A-OK? Both instances drew suspensions. Get off the moral high horse, you have the dirtiest coach in the game. My moral highhorse? Sampson had some mistakes at OK, and he has been reprimanded as well. To say he's the dirtiest coach in the game is a huge assumption. Illinois fans are so eager to predict that IU will be on probation or in trouble with the NCAA. IU has never been in trouble with the NCAA. Why is it always the school's with the histroy of rule breaking that are so eager to accuse the others? I guess it takes a history in that department to know what your talking about huh?
  21. Really not worth arguing any more. If he would have been charged with a DUI or robbery he would be A-OK in Illinois' book.
  22. Illiniguy...please read the followng before you make any judgments from afar: From the IndyStar Does that sound like a bad kid to you? Its not his fault he is growing up in a very violent environment. Your the one that was showing "class" with that comment.
  23. Wondering if you could elaborate on why you think BA is second-hand? Who is first-hand? I have to disagree with you, having done some work for BA in the past.
  24. Hehe... Did Chris freakin Kramer of purdue just posterize about 3 guys for Illinois?
