  1. Wow, Cobb looks about twice his actual age.
  2. Congrats to Geo, god knows he deserves it.
  3. Win (Regulation, OT or Shootout) 2 pts Loss in OT or Shootout 1 pt (OTL) 7 wins is 14 points, 3 OTL is 3 pts, making 17 Oh I see, thanks for explaining.
  4. This is a really dumb question, but how does the points distribution system work in hockey? It's just that I've taken an interested in hockey recently, and I can't imagine how they do it. I watched the scoreboard on ESPN and it said GP W L OTL PTS 13 7 3 3 17 for the Blackhawks. Now, what's OTL? and how do you calculate the points?
  5. Hill, please. I would like to hang on to Marshall if possible. If we get Peavy, and then Hendry re-signs Dempster like he says he wants to, where does that leave Marquis? And if we ditch Marquis's contract, doesn't that leave us more than enough money to re-sign Kerry Wood? Now THAT would be too good to be true.
  6. Now that could be interesting. Now I kind of want Derrek Lee to go. Where is this money coming from? Who cares? I want Tex
  7. I think Ryan Braun looks like a nice guy *ducks*
  8. Yeah, I noticed that aswell. The only thing remotely funny in the whole clip.
  9. I'd love to see the Rays win it. They've worked so hard this year. Plus, it proves you don't need veteran starters to get a WS, young talent can also get it done. Well done Tampa, you're the one team I'd like to see win the WS outside of the Cubs and Athletics. Since neither of those teams made it this year, it's up to you
  10. Hey OMC, there's something I've always wondered: howcome gloves in the deadball era seem to have every finger seperated from eachother, while they're sewn together a few decades later? When and why did this happen?
  11. Yeah. That's worse than anything HCCF has ever said.
  12. It's awesome that he had this shy, boy-ish grin on his face when he was handed the World Series plaque.
  13. So, Tampa's gonna have an empty stadium in a few years?
  14. But... but he's a proven winning manager!
  15. I thought he had about 4 pitches? Yes, but none of them reliable. The only pitch that really stands out is his fastball.
  16. Interesting that the wheel is on the passenger side. That's because in some parts of the US they kept driving on the left 'till the early 1900s
  17. Hahaha, that last one is amazing
  18. If we resign him, we have a far bigger chance of getting Padre-Jimmy than getting Cub-Jimmy.
  19. This is awesome. In a few months he has become one of my favorite Cubs.
  20. I would hate nothing more than Rich allowing only 2 runs, but getting the loss anyway because the Cubs offense can't do anything lately. He DESERVES to be one of the most awesomest pitcher ever tonight. Because he might very well be.
  21. The firqst post of this thread should be read to the Cubs players. That'll motivate them
  22. Yeah. The way he counts everything (his balls, the days between caught balls,...)and he also seems extremely upset about a guy that used his elbows in a fight for a ball. Oh, and him knowing how to ask for a ball in sign language is awesome. Weird, but awesome.
  23. Screw this, being here reminds me even more of my incapability to see the game. I'm gonna go watch the first episode of Heroes, season 3 (starting on BBC2) Go Cubs!!!!
  24. oh, and by the way, don't we need more hot chicks in Cubs gear for good luck?
