  1. I would not be opposed to this Marlins too. Let's not forget the D-backs
  2. How come when the Cubs gets a break the other team rallys and wins the game but when a call goes against the Cubs it's devastating and they lose.
  3. Defense, didn't you just see him not let the guy get to third?
  4. HE'S OUR 8TH INNING GUY! Yeah, I never understand the clamoring to bring in Marmol in the 6th. Yes, he could get the Cobs out of this, but then who pitches in the 8th? Want Wuertz to blow then? The Cobs could still score and then Marmol will be needed later. Except he is in now. Stupid Cubs
  5. They seem to always beat us when they suck too
  6. You could have given him a beter chance if he started the inning off Yeah, if you come in with first and third no one out your gonna allow a run 9.5 times out of 10
  7. I don't suppose we could get the Phillies to move to the AL could we?
  8. I think Jenkins was safe and that was a dumb throw.
  9. Bad rule... Pat was talking about how a couple years ago at Wrigley someone caught the ball, ran three, or four steps, hit the wall, and dropped the ball. It was not called an out. You have to be able to take the ball out of your glove. I don't like the rule because you could essentially run across the field with the ball in glove and than drop it and have be a hit
  10. I like how even when Fukudome gets out he still sees 7-8 pitches
  11. SORIANO, That is how you make up for knocking the ball out of Fuku's glove
  12. That's gotta be either a bad call or a bad rule. He caught that ball.
  13. I'm justified in hating the Red Sox/Yankees rivalry based solely on the fact that stupidity revolving around it gets headlines and publicity it doesn't deserve. Isn't there some heartwarming comeback story in sports somewhere that deserves some attention instead of talking about some stupid construction worker burying a shirt in Yankee stadium? Ranting helps me vent the anger that I could easily take out on others that I choose not to out of respect for my fellow board posters I guess I can see that. The media upsets me too sometimes.
  14. I am not sure who is taking things way too seriously. The people who buried the shirt, or the people who respond angrily to the people who buried the shirt.

  16. I love throwback jerseys. However, those futuristic jerseys look like something I could pick up at Wal-Mart.
  17. I like the idea of Lieber coming out of the pen as well. He is a great weapon to have when one of the starters doesn't pitch well in the first couple of innings (like Hill last night) and keep the Cubs in the game with out worrying about draining the rest of the bull pen.
  18. Last two games took forever. They want to go home
  19. Stupid Tornado warnings are making me miss it
