  1. Can you blame them? This game is looking identical to last night. Chacon should not have gotten settled in like this. He's a bad pitcher. It's the top of the 5th. After the first, this team has put together a collection of horrid atbats, I think that's why people are frustrated. No patience after the first. Yesterday after the grand slam it was "calm down everyone we can get it back." Guess what. We didn't. Agreed, we will lose every game that we ever trail in for the remainder of the season So, in baseball, a game where even the best teams lose a crap load of games, it's appropriate to freak out after every loss?
  2. With a one run game any fly ball could end up in those stupid Crawford boxes (we almost saw that with Edmonds. This game is not over.
  3. We have the second best record in baseball. Calm down people.
  4. You can't throw 0-2 pitches down the middle
  5. That probably would have been gone if the wind weren't blowing in.
  6. I remember in 04 when we lit up Estes he got a standing ovation. That was awesome
  7. No kidding it's been two days. You're killing me Cubs.
  8. That works too. Lee with a 3-1 pitch with guys on base and a mid-80's fast ball. I like that
  9. This seems to be about the inning old guy Maddux struggles
  10. As a baseball fan I live to see someone with the eye of Fukudome face someone like Maddux.
  11. Ramriez with an opposite field double down the line. I like it
  12. I really wanted him to unnecessarily dive there
  13. I thought he just missed a home run. I could be way wrong though
  14. They probably won't do anything since that announcement will never happen. Edmonds is wearing 15. Marquis is wearing 21. Someone in another thread said Marquis gave Edmonds number 21. Makes no sense. He's always had 15. Marquis has had 21. Why would he change? I didn't even know what his number was. Somebody said Marquis gave him 21 so I assumed he had always used number 21. Apparently I was misinformed. I was pissed that they didn't retire #21 when Sammy left. Now that one of my most hated players of all time will be wearing the number of my favorite player of all time makes me mad enough to break things. I think on tv he was just wearing 15
  15. I had a dream last night that they signed both (I'm serious). I woke up screaming
  16. What type of a reaction is he going to get from the crowd? That's what I'm interested in.
  17. I'm holding out hope that he sucked because of the big PetCo park but will be good at a smaller park, I mean that is why people want Greene right?
  18. I see I have been made fun twice now in this thread. I now feel apart of the NSBB family \:D/
  19. I'm calling it, if Edmonds plays he's going yard
  20. With two outs you can reach on a dropped K
  21. what happened? Everyone stood up and went "ahhh" on a routine flyball. Routine flyball? I'd call it a hard hit liner to right. Wrigley's crowds tend to flip out even over pop-ups. Granted, this was better hit, but if the ball is in the air, especially in a situation like that, tons of people react like it's long gone. In all fairness it always seems like every fly ball has a chance off the bat in the upper deck if you don't learn to watch the outfielder
  22. Estes got a W today so its only fair Peavy doesn't. Got to even out ...right???? Marquis beat Oswalt, I think last night was the evening out game. Crap.
