    Why are you assuming that the replacement player wouldn't have done anything offensively? I'm not assuming anything. I simply said that one play that results in a tie game, not even a loss, isn't the only play that effects the outcome of a game. Aren't you assuming that the Cubs still would have had the lead without Soriano's 2-run HR and every other play Soriano was involved in? I agree with you Jon but what if, for fun, we assume Soriano should have caught Pittsburgh's first home run (which it could easily be argued that he should have.)

    The Brewers are 6 games behind the Cubs. Cubs were 8.5 behind the Brewers last June. This cubs team is way better than last years team that was able to run them down. The point is that being 6 games up right now doesn't really mean all that much. It's nice, and anyone would rather be 6 games up than 6 games back, but it doesn't guarantee you anything. You just have to remember that for the most part every team is within a few games of each other in May. If the Cubs truly are a really good team they'll start to separate come July and August.

    Its May... The Cubs keep winning and playing well and there will be nothing to worry about. I cant get upset about a Mil-Was score right now. You're a better man than me. I am scoreboard watching after mid April
