    No kidding. It seems like Dempster is throwing the most pitches out of any of our starters. I mean the guy has been a relieve for how long and he has a complete game. That seems kind of dumb.

    Brewers are fouling off a lot of pitches. If they keep it up Demp might only be able to go 5.

    Cubs losing this series wouldn't upset me that much but sweeping and winning the division in three days (with help from the Marlins) would be great seeing as I have a lot of school work to do and the Cubs are preventing me from doing it.

    I used to like Stone but then he kind of became a prick in 2004 and beyond. Maybe he always has been but I didn't notice it until 04.

    I hope the Cowboys D is as bad as the scoreboard is saying (I'm not watching the game) because I don't see the Packers stopping them next week.

    If only they played one this week. it should still give us a better idea of where this team is. Maine and Florida International have provided a lot of the same competition we could have gotten from some of the D3 schools around here, and Iowa State is probably looking at another long season. by the way, I wasn't implying Pitt was good. it was subtle bitching about the lack of quality opponents early in the season. I'm expecting this team to host Wisconsin with a 6-1 or 7-0 record They have 3 road games against decent teams (Pitt, Michigan State and to a lesser degree Indiana) between now and then. 3-0 would be pretty impressive. Until we figure out who the quarterback is I cant see us winning any of those games. If we are 6-1 heading into the Wisconsin game I would be thrilled. Heading into Wisconsin 7-0 or 6-1 would be pretty impressive. I think Pitt and MSU are going to beat us. Unless one of our QB's starts playing better we're not going to score that much (the D has been pretty damn good though, let's see if they can stop some real offenses at some point)

    I hope we are getting hot offensively so we can hit CC and Sheets the next 2 days Not that I want it to happen at all, but it wouldn't be absolutely terrible if the Brewers managed to win 2/3 this series and the Phillies lost ground... I wouldn't even be pissed if we lost a couple to them. Hell even if we got swept it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. That being said I still want the Cubs to win of course.
