  1. Need to pull this out in overtime, you can't lose another point on a late goal.
  2. Since we're pretty much locked into a seed the rest of the season is less stressful at least.
  3. I'm seeing us getting hot when Noah gets back and we'll finish the season that way. Maybe we'll catch some teams off guard because we'll have a lower seed.
  4. So when is Noah coming back? I'm glad I've pretty much assumed the 4th seed all year thus making the regular season not too important but I really hate losing to bad teams.
  5. Losing to the 6ers and Nets in back to back games would piss me off.
  6. Absolutely. And I'm not saying they should be taken lightly. But those 6 losses do show that they are clearly a flawed team as well (undoubtedly injuries are a factor). And I thought this morning that they might be being overhyped by some of the national media. Though admittedly, I've seen more Eagles picks by experts today than I thought I would. For whatever reason the media seems to think Green Bay has played amazing (ESPN said something like this the other day) to close out the season and I don't really know where that comes from. I've actually seen people pick them based off of this.
  7. Nitpickey but wasn't Harris in the Nomar trade not the Aramis trade?
  8. I'm guessing the reason for trading Archer is the fact that Hendry and Co. feel we have a lot of pitching in the farm as it is however after looking into it a little the only pitching prospect I like more is McNutt. It just seems like a steep price and feels like something good low budget franchises do to take advantage of a poorly ran high budget team.
  9. I'm mixed on this trade. I'm ok with Garza, I'd think he could be fairly good not pitching in the AL East anymore and while I love the way Lee plays defense I'm fairly meh on his offensive upside myself. I'll admit I don't know too much about Archer so I won't comment on that one. On the other hand I'm not really a fan of trading decent/good prospects for an improvement that still probably won't make much of a difference in you being a playoff team or not.
  10. I didn't think Iowa would win until they play Indiana but I'm thinking we can/should be Northwestern at home.
  11. Well, I mean ... it did kinda work. The 4th quarter brought them back from a big deficit. That strategy is dumb. I want my best players in at the end of the game when it's close. You got everything you can and more out of that unit. It's ridiculous how your second best player, and best big man, wasn't in the game for the entire final quarter. It sure would've been nice if our best rebounder was out there to break up the failed alley-oop at the end of the game. Basically, Thibodeau punted last night. Most people here believe that the Bulls will wind up at worst fourth in the East. Isn't sending a message to Boozer that he has to defend is more important than one win because the Bulls are stuck in third or fourth place? Boozer has been in the league for a while now and has never defended. I don't really think he is going to at this point. I'd rather have not lost the game and piss him off at the same time.
  12. I'm starting to think he'd do it in OT with the new rules because of our crappy special teams and good defense.
  13. That's what everyone seems to be saying.
  14. I'd also be tempted to try it if I kicked the three, get the ball back and you win. Either choice would take some guts though but if you have crappy return coverage and a good defense (Hey, like Green Bay) I'd consider trying it.
  15. I think the rules are pretty clear cut. There is one scenario I thought about where it can cause confusion though: Say Aaron Rodgers throws an INT to Brian Dawkins in the first possession of OT. Dawkins tries to return it but then fumbles and the Packers recover. The Packers eventually kick a FG. Is the game over? I'm pretty sure, yes. It may not happen at all, but an onside kick to begin OT may cause confusion as well. I heard if a team opens OT by recovering its own onside kick, a FG can win the game because the other team had an opportunity to take possession. It might be beneficial to try an onside kick. If they kick a field goal you still get the ball but if you recover it than you can go win the game than.
  16. That's kind of what I was thinking. It's not like Man U. has anything to gain from playing at Wrigley itself. Why the hell would a soccer team from Europe care about Wrigley?
  17. It's weird watching this years team after watching the last two years.
  18. Sharp whifs on an empty net and we hit all three posts on a penalty shot. What an unlucky game.
  19. How many games have we been tied in or leading in the third period only to come out with no points. I hope they tie it because giving away points is very frustrating.
  20. Just noticed that if we get the 8 seed Vancouver would be the one seed as of right now (tied with Detroit so that could be change). We aren't winning the cup but ripping their hearts out as an 8 seed would be awesome. Back to this game, I've still never seen the Hawks hit a penalty shot. How does the puck hit all three posts and not go in.
  21. Of course they win on a [expletive] play.
  22. Devin Harris buzzer beater anyone?
  23. Make both please.
  24. That's probably the game. You can't miss free throws I know he's exhausted but still.
  25. Just make them both Deng.
