    Judging from what someone was saying yeterday, he likes to bunt to third base when they put the shift on against him. Supposedly he's pretty good at doing it. I'd rather him put one in the seats but it was a nice bunt.

    The way he talks about our franchise, which is the reason his no talent ass even has a Major League career, doesn't do too much to make him one of my favorite baseball people. He's an annoying Cardinal, isn't that enough to make him hateable.

    I still think they were told to attack Maholm early in the count today, at least in their first ABs. And it worked because they were smoking the ball...just at the Pirates. They worked the count fairly well on Opening Day. I agree with that, the at bats in the 8th inning were beautiful too. That was a very fun inning of baseball.

    I like patience as much as anyone but Maholm is throwing slow [expletive] right over the plate. We've hit 3 of those really hard, they just went to people.
