Their bigs have had some awful touch underneath. The keep getting the ball then throwing fastballs at the backboard from under the hoop. It's weird.

Yea day games on a Mon, Tues, or Weds haven't happened at home for quite a while. Usually Mon-Weds are night games, and Thurs-Sun are day games when playing at home. There's a night game in May on a Saturday. That one shocked me, I know it's a nationally televised game but when is the last time the Cubs played a home night game on a Friday or Saturday. -
They should still make the playoffs but at this point I don't see them coming close to pulling off an upset in a series. Than again, hockey playoffs are weird so the Hawks could easily make a run. Plus, we'd have to have some kind of a mental edge over Vancouver if that's who we end up playing.

It's too early to get too irrational about the manager but Quade has work to do.

Why would you think that? Um, perhaps because that's what they've always been for? Ski was by far not the only one complaining about the Cubs today. There is a difference between complaining and "Only the Cubs" BS.

The only thing I can think of is Quade wants to see what Reed and Barney are made of early in the season or something like that. Even though Reed has never hit righties and Barney has never hit. I'm really having a hard time grasping Quade's logic there.

I still don't get why Fukudome and DeWitt weren't hitting there. Why have lefties on the bench when you won't use them?

Were 1-2 and this one game won't mean much in the long run. This game sucks but it really isn't a huge deal.

How does that happen? That game defies logic really, they had like 8 billion ground ball singles. Oh, teams can overcome a 1-2 start.

I see know reason why Fukudome and Dewitt shouldn't be hitting this inning. Not to mention batting Barney and Byrd 2 and 3 is going to hurt us here. You're not impressing me Quade. Thank you Ronnie.

They seem like they are going to play a lot of close games. They will be really frustrating if they don't pull them out or they are going to be a cardiac Cubs time team that will be fun to watch as they win a bunch of close games.
