My football team recently won a Super Bowl then suffered a disappointing playoff loss the next year. The memories of a past championship doesn't mean much.
I'm thinking that Oakland has the best fans in sports (at least when they show up). Raiders, Warriors and playoff A's games have all been rowdy and at times it is that way when their teams aren't good/in the game.
Because you are a Cubs fan therefore you are naturally pessimistic when it comes to baseball. That and that's what is about to happen here. Or because Johnson blew the save in Game 3 and gave up five runs in the ninth inning in Game 1? That doesn't help either.
Too bad the Tigers busted it open. It would have been nice if every game today was decided on the last at bat. Regardless, this has been an incredible couple of days of baseball.
For sure. Last year we had 19 out of 20 possible LDS games and we're going to have at least 19 this year. 4 game 5s would be amazing. Holy crap, my sentence was all kinds of awful.
Personally, I had mixed feelings on sitting Strasburg but there are enough positive reason behind doing it that freaking out over the decision is strange.
I wonder how Bob feels about going from working with Len, who is one of the best broadcasters in baseball, to working with Dick Stockton, who I'm not even sure if he knows he's broadcasting baseball.
