    I tried to come up with a justification for wearing my cubs jersey that's also an Aramis Ramirez jersey and I decided I'm honoring his retirement that begins tonight.

    That was some seriously bad QB play by both teams. Ugly, ugly win for Iowa. The wind was a problem and Iowa seems to struggle to get open, but Beathard missed some possible big plays. Hope a lot of it was the wind because there's still some tough defenses left on the schedule and if Iowa's defense continues to play well there will be more ugly games to come.

    Arrieta is so good that I was shocked then a very small bit concerned when he allowed a hit then fell behind a guy 2-0. Then he struck the guy out.

    We just went through a stretch of going 7-3 vs the Cards/Bucs this month. Being weird after a loss is stupid.

    Yes, the "timid Wrigley in the playoffs" narrative is a myth. In 08 they were then again those games sucked. The other years it's been fine.
