  1. Update: Well, as a Brewer fan it was a good game. The fans were very nice, the guys next to us even gave us half a bottle of Bacradi that they snuck in. We cheered and got booed, nothing out of the ordinary. I swear when Fukodome hit that HR the Cubs fans that we were sitting next to tripled and everyone was getting their shots in. All in good fun though. At one point my bother got a little lippy and I told him to knock it off and everything cleared up. The weather stunk but I did get to eat at Taco Bell (A plus in my book). I was a little surprised at the booing on Opening Day from the Cubs fans. Pretty classless but I am a believer in only booing poor effort, not results. Overall a fun time. Stadium was cool but a little worn down. I never did get a chance to use the trough like urnals and we did find a Wisconsin bar before and after the game. Not a bad time at all. One last observation. The Cubs fans that were there were great but it is a complete 180 when they come to Miller Park. It's almost as if they feel the need to act like idiots (though provoked in many instances) as a defense mechanism.
  2. Ugh, I hope it gets played.
  3. Says the guy with a Northwestern logo staring at me, I gotta run Wisconsin is playing their Sweet 16 game right now. Hey now, us defenseless Northwesterners don't deserve your ridicule. Besides, our basketball may not be great, but our, um ... well, our debate team is badass. So there. Ouch, I could cry.
  4. I would consider Lilly/Hill to be a solid number 2 and 3. The guy just doesn't understand that even if you don't throw 95, you can still be effective.

  6. Damn the fatties for giving us a bad name!
  7. I have never seen the Brewers at any place other than Miller Park (and County Stadium) and I really did want to visit Wrigley one day just to say I did so this worked out well. I expect the boos, I just really don't want it to be a big deal and I am sure there will be more than a handful of Brewer fans there.
  8. So I am making my first trip to Wrigley Field for Opening Day. My brothers and I (Four of us) will be in minimal Brewer gear (hat maybe a shirt depending on the weather) so we will be visable Brewer fans in enemy territory. None of us are vocal idiots that run our mouths but we will visably cheer when, and if, something good happens for the Crew. Anyway, what kind of danger are we in... 1) None at all 2) Booed 3) Get Stuff Thrown At Us 4) Physically Threatened I have seen some pretty dumb things at Miller Park from both sides during these games and I would hate to distract from the game for my own personal amusement.
  9. My weekend will get a little smaller as I am driving down to Chicago on Sunday morning preparing myself for Monday.
  10. Funny stuff, I wonder how they get these players.
  11. I would go with Maddux as well. You know what you are getting. Low ERA, WHIP, and some wins.
  12. I like Jim Powell a lot beter to be honest. Not as many seemingly drunken ramblings.
  13. Does anyone have any projections for these two players?
  14. He's got a good idea though. Back in the day we were discussing a Forum just for ticket transactions. I know Tim had reservations about it because he didn't want to feel liable for faulty transactions being attempted through his forum, but it might be a better option than having 500 of these threads throughout the year. yeah - it'd be real nice to have a forum/thread like this somewhere. However, I understand why it might be bad business for Tim. Most boards I visit do have a ticket exchange index or topic area. When I did not see one anywhere I just started a subject in the main forum. Excuse the audacity of naming it a season long thread on my first post. Actually I was wondering that myself as I didn't want to post anything in the wrong forum.
