    reeaaaaaally? Yeah right. ESPN would be all over it. They were all over it like an hour ago, thats when I saw it. It was a joke. He said he participated and he looked "greeeeeeeat... flying all over the court" or something to that effect.. "probably gonna play him 48 minutes"...then he said "i wish it was april first" Yea I knew he was joking about him playing... but I thought he really did participate in the shoot around.

    Garnett participated in the shoot-around today... but Rivers is lying and saying he's still not playing.

    I may not be the biggest fan of Canada or Canadian hockey fans... but they sure know how to handle an anthem: That's from game 1. You can also hear the like 5 Blackhawks fans scream during "aaaaand the rockets red glaaaaare".

    Well I'm picking the Canucks tonight. That's the good thing about SFTC... I can pick AGAINST the Blackhawks and if the Hawks end up winning I happily take the loss on SFTC... however if the Hawks lose, I still win.

    Oh yea User... your Wings came out with some nasty last night. Was interesting to see them step up their physical game. And I'm not just saying that because they actually fought :-D And good lord is Lidstrom good. I mean... that guy single handedly makes everyone else on the ice better... what's his contract situation?

    Well 1 of them happened. Kane was awesome in game 1 aside from the 4 minute high stick penalty. He REALLY could be the catalyst if he plays well offensively like he did on Thursday. I bet he gets another one tonight.

    Actually incredibly excited about a basketball game for the first time in a LOOOOONG time.

    I think the 5 minute major was his "punishment". Like I said last night, dangerous hit and he went high... but I don't think there was intent to injure which is why he got interference instead of charging. If it would have been a charging penalty I bet he would have gotten a one game suspension.

    I thought the no call on the trip was really bad, obviously a team down by 1 with 8 mins left getting away with a little extra type of call. I thought NHL was trying to quit doing that. Yea the Caps def. committed a penalty... but how did they miss the double interference down in the Penguins zone as well? Wow Varlamov!

    Stick saves usually are... it was desperation but it's not like he did it blindly. Lots of luck involved for sure, but it was a beauty.

    For those who didn't see it... Crosby had a wide open net with Varlamov down and out going the other way... somehow he got his stick down and deflected the puck RIGHT ON THE GOAL LINE... incredible.
