    http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/statistics?stat=teamstatst&season=2008&seasontype=2 Those are the PP stats from last year. It's about a 7-9% better chance to score on a PP than on full strength. The Hawks only had a 15% PP conversion % last year... which is NOT good. However, they are much much much better this year with their PP unit. If you didn't find tonight's game particularly exciting, wait til the home opener on Monday, you'll be hooked. Plus, in the 3rd period Burish is gonna put someone on the ground... he's pissed.

    End of the 2nd period. Hawks will start with 90 seconds of PP in the 3rd. They have had so many PP opportunities and if they want to get anywhere this year, they're going to have to capitalize. They have looked timid so far.

    i don't see ovechkin's name. Do you think I was being serious? not sure, but i remember playing washington in the playoffs last year, and getting pissed off when brashear/steckel would score. you know ovechkin is gonna get his points, so it's annoying when the 4th line scrubs also get on the scoreboard. Completely agree... kind of like Voros scoring on Huet yesterday... he shouldn't even be on the Rangers :( Oh well... as long as we have the lead I'm not gonna get too upset.
