    God I love back to back hockey days! Rangers @ Sharks (Sharks Win 4-3 (OT)) Kings @ Wings (Wings Win 5-2) Hawks @ Canucks Well... we can hope for the Sharks and Wings to lose, but I don't see that happening :( We SHOULD beat the Canucks though.

    Yea it sucks not being able to watch a team you love... there are always the streams, though. The HAWKS WILL catch the Wings.

    No, but I am done with the Hawks kicking the Flames butt up and down the ice, tho. Oh that will happen, don't worry. Can't wait to see all the Canadians crying in their pancakes when we sweep them in 3 games on the road.

    So, its OK to almost end a guy's career or life with a slash or high stick, but make a few comments about sloppy 2nds and you are banned? Great to know. That's absolutely the dumbest thing I've ever heard. 1) Strawman 2) Prior records matter 3) The only time a guy's "career or life" was almost ended by a high stick/slashing incident was McSorely, and he never played in the NHL again, iirc. Seriously apete, you don't appear to know what you are talking about. Didn't that guy who slammed the guys head into the ice play again? I remember Claude Lemieux boarding the bejesus out of Draper and playing again in the league. Chris Simon played after multiple transgressions. OK, maybe they weren't slashes, but other on-ice transgressions that are much more damaging than some words. I know Avery's a pain in the ass and has done some borderline illegal stuff on the ice, but if words are enough to get someone banned from the league, then that's just dumb. There's a reason why the NHL isn't more popular and its decisions like this...and having your main TV contract with VS.[/quote] AND only showing Penguins/Wings games.

    Does Vancouver play tonight? Who knows what Sundin will do in his debut? Canucks are gonna most likely come out with some extra energy if it's his debut.

    Avery DOES take it too far... but there needs to be a couple people like that in the league. Do you know how many friends of mine I show videos of Avery too and they actually give the Hawks or hockey in general a chance. It's entertaining and brings another dimension to the game. I think Avery could be very marketable as the bad boy, which he really is already. I'll bet none. Who would be that influenced by those videos to go from being a hockey agnostic to actually thinking it could be worth a shot? Why do people watch wrestling knowing it's fake? A) They are hilljacks B) They like the sense of character dynamic and badboys/goodguys Avery fits the bad boy dynamic and is entertaining to watch for the casual fan. EDIT: Of course I brainwash them with Kane/Toews videos as well.

    I think the Hawks win tonight. Team should be charged up from some light skating and a team building, curling excursion. I think we come out rough and tumble and win 4-2. Toews, Campbell, Sharp score (and someone on the 3rd or 4th line). Assists by Wiz, Kane.

    I thought about center ice, I'll probably do it next season... but mainly because I probably won't be in the Chicago area and want to watch the Hawks. And yea the Sharks got mauled, I watched about half of the game. I believe they have to fly back to SJ and play the Rangers tonight or tomorrow... they might get their first losing streak of the season! Although, I would have rather seen DET get beat for the Hawks sake... was still a good game.

    Exactly... this is one thing we can agree on. My handle on every hockey site is "SeanAvery". Avery brings a dimension to the sport that is severely lacking. The agitator/nuisance/[expletive]... he is so entertaining to watch. When you get a rule made out of you, you know you're doing something right. He is the kind of player the NHL needs to widely market the sport. Thank you, IMB... you have inspired me to post my top 3 Sean Avery Videos, I know you'll enjoy them: Can't believe Avery didn't get a 10 game suspension for pushing Cindy in the chest here... Sean Avery does push ups to celebrate a goal in the eyeball of the opponent... amazing There are some sick compilations of all his [expletive] moments if you type "Sean Avery" into YouTube... "Sean Avery, Born to Raise Hell" is a good one. For those of you wondering, here is the "AVERY RULE":
