  1. Haha, Torre's doubletake is priceless!
  2. We have a 115 million dollar payroll and no #3 or #5 hitter. Or rather, our #5 hitter is too busy hitting solo homeruns in the one hole.
  3. Lee, Soriano, and Ramirez all deserve to be booed out of town after the game this Saturday. What a joke they've been. Throw our almighty manager in there, too.
  4. I'm really looking forward to having to turn my phone off Saturday so I don't have to field calls all day long from all of my Reds/Cardinals fan friends.
  5. So Zambrano mows down the D-Backs and gets pulled after 6 innings. Lilly is allowed to stay in the game for four innings when it's obvious from the first pitch that he's got nothing in the tank? That's brilliant management, Lou. We may as well have Dusty calling the shots. Thanks, Cubs.
  6. The only thing Z is going to be rested for on Sunday is his 10 am tee time.
  7. Zambrano was on auto-pilot, there was no reason to pull him. You don't pull a starter that YOU KNOW is dominant AT THAT TIME, even if it's for your best reliever. You don't know whether Marmol has his stuff or not that night, but you KNOW Zambrano does.
  8. It was the act of taking out Zambrano that was the bad move.
  9. Good thing we're playing for a game four that may or may not actually happen.
  10. After not caring for that song the first time I heard it, only a few days later I am absolutely addicted to that entire album. Recommended. I bought their previous album and was pretty disappointed. I guess I was hoping for something a little closer to Frogstomp. I'd only heard a couple of their songs previously (Year 2000 and Ana's Song.) Now that I'm getting into this new album I'm gonna have to check out some of their old stuff.

  12. Haha, the Golden Girls is a classic. At least Demp has good taste in comedy.
  13. You should have seen the bitter old usher trying to keep fans away from the Cubs dugout after the game. Thought he was gonna pop a coronary.
  14. Is it normal for a ballpark to turn off the out-of-town scoreboard two minutes after the final out is made in a game? Or were they just trying their best to get rid of us Cubs fans?
  15. Soriano's leadoff homer last night...
  16. Just got back from the game at GABP. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE. I'll post some of the pictures and videos here after I upload them. The atmosphere after that double play and the ovation the Cubs got as they were walking into the dugout was surreal. I had every intention of staying until the Brewers game was over and celebrating in the stadium with the 90% of the crowd that was Cubs fans....but the d-bags in charge of things shut off the out-of-town scoreboard 5 minutes after the game ended. WHAT A GAME! GO CUBS!!!
  17. Haha, as someone who's lived in Cincy most of my life, you hit the nail on the head. Cincy fans sit around and scarf nachos and guzzle beers with their fat families while at the same time making fun of Cubs fans and calling Wrigley a "beer garden". Reds fans are the worst baseball fans there are, IMO. I've had intelligent baseball conversations with fans of all different teams, but somehow Reds fans just consistently are some of the most clueless there are. You're outnumbered in your own park, now sit down and shut up.
  18. This weekend is not shaping up to be a fun time...
  19. Why in God's name is Jones hitting 8th and Theriot hitting second? Unreal.... Then again, that decision makes sense in comparison to the decision to let Traschel start in a pivotal game.
  20. I'm sure there will be a scattering of hillbilly Cincinnati fans (as usual) but I'm sure the majority will be wearing Cubbie blue (as usual). Reds fans only show up for Opening Day and Bobblehead promotions. Can't wait for this weekend.
