  1. I'm sorry, is this Sunday night? I could've sworn it was Friday.
  2. As pathetic as it is, we're still in 1st place. That's a good enough reason for me.
  3. More and more names are coming out...very interesting. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3009089
  4. Earlier they made fun of a heavy set gentleman in cubs gear. They are a classy organization no doubt about it. Best fans in baseball
  5. I wonder if there will be some more crying about the boos after the game. Guess what, boys? If you play like absolute garbage, that's what you get.
  6. I would gladly sacrifice the opportunity for a personal accomplishment by Marquis for a guaranteed win. Guaranteed win? There's no way this game gets called early by the rain that's out there. It would be a delay at the most, which would likely result in Marquis either getting out of whatever groove he may or may not be in, or the Cubs going to a reliever early. Good point, everyone was talking about the game being called, so a delay didn't enter my thinking there.
  7. About what? Tell us please? Sweet we get to listen into Scully thats awesome the perfect game? *sigh* There's always somebody. Yeah, because talking about it on a message board that Marquis probably doesn't even know about is going to cause him to blow it somehow.
  8. What about Mulder? Huh? Not an X-Files fan, clearly.
  9. I would gladly sacrifice the opportunity for a personal accomplishment by Marquis for a guaranteed win.
  10. Off Loney's glove, Abreu picked it up and threw to first where Lowe was covering the bag
  11. Don't say what? Oh you mean that he's got a....ok, I won't say it. It's only 3 innings anyway.
  12. He's been calling that on us all night! Ridiculous.
  13. Why do that when it's easier to wave at it and go sit down? cuz we know that Soriano is world famous for not trying  Just a joke dude. I wasn't implying he doesn't try. Chill out.
  14. Why do that when it's easier to wave at it and go sit down?
  15. If this wasn't such a close, critical game, that would be really funny.
  16. Pitchers have just killed us this year...it's sickening
  17. It can't possibly be that bad, can it? I'd much rather watch tennis than the Cubs lose again. Any good lookin' babes playing? I get that in HD :P Venus Williams vs Jelena Jankovic. In other words, an emphatic NO!
  18. On whom? Does it start with an 'S' and end with an 'ynergy'?
  19. It would be nice if Carlos never had to have a press conference to apologize for anything. This is 2 apologies already this year. Time to get this immaturity behind him.
  20. Anyone ever read Pafko At The Wall? It's a great novella about Thompson's homer, highly recommended.
  21. Oh come on, ya gotta love Andy Pafko
  22. jeez. I like what he does at the plate, for the most part, and his defense in LF is serviceable. But he's a butcher in RF. He looks like a chicken with its head cut off out there. lf and rf are the same. That is flat-out not true. please explain the difference between catching a fly ball in rf and in lf. Catching a ball might be the same, but when it comes to getting a read on a ball it's completely different. Add the sun at Wrigley, plus wind, and you're talking about 2 different positions. Have you ever played baseball? we're getting all the classics today. I wasn't trying to be smart, I was honestly asking.

Have you ever played baseball? I might add that RF is more difficult to play, especially in Wrigley. Which makes Matt Murton looks even worse when he's out there.
