    Do they have a legit long man in the pen? If they don't, their pen is (censored). villanueva. Yost just PH for their first reliever, after he threw six pitches. brewers are going to start the second inning with their third pitcher of the game. wow what the hell is Yost thinkin Yost plain doesn't know how to manage a bullpen. You'd think a former catcher would at least have SOME clue. it would be hilarious if he had to use a starter to finish the game

    Of course it would be nice if we could win games that favor us on paper, like Z vs. Cain Eh, it evens out as the Cubs won the game where the Giants looked better on paper (Lincecum vs. Marquis). And Cain has arguably been better than Z this season. With a 5-13 record????? He has had terrible run support.

    I do hope you realize that Cain is 5-13 and Zito has an ERA of close to 5. You don't get 13 losses by being THAT nasty. This is a last place team we're talking about here. They should be sweeping these bums, especially with Z on the mound. Cain has had terrible run support all season. You can't go by wins and losses to know how good a pitcher is.

    It's sad to us because it's so ridiculous how this keeps happening. You can feel free to come up with counter-examples from our own team though. :wink: Matt Clement, Joe Borowski, Sammy Sosa, Jon Lieber, Mark Bellhorn, Ryan Dempster, Michael Barrett, and I'm sure many, many more. don't forget aramis ramirez And year one of the Glendon Rusch era. More than cancelled out by Years 2 and 3. (That's our own fault, by the way. Stupid Hendry.) Ok, Derrek Lee, Ted Lilly, JASON MARQUIS, Matt Murton, Jacque Jones, Eric Karros, Mark Grudzielanek... LOL
