  1. omgz i forfeit the season
  2. I would just like to apologize for all the mean things I said about Jim Hendry. He is so cool right now.
  3. The only player we gave up that I'm going to miss is Sean Gallagher, but it was definitely worth it.
  4. *raises hand* Maybe JH hasn't hit one since June 17. Yea, on second thought, those with Longoria probably will and probably should stand pat. That would be me and yes I'm staying right were I am.
  5. I know. It's so ridiculous for them to hate the Cubs!
  6. you're like 0-3 on this page alone. take a deep breath and think about some things. People seem to think I was saying that Cedeno, Murton, and Hofpauir are enough to land Harden. Thats not what I was saying. I was simply saing that they have a bad offense, and with some quality prospects, they would be inclined to moe Harden, so how about you calm down and understand that I never said that 3 bench players/future jouneymen are going to land us a top of the line starter.
  7. The Cubs offense is better the Brewers WITHOUT Soriano. As far as (b) goes, that spot will be occupied by the Phillies or Mets. The Mets aren't that good.
  8. I dont think he'll stink up the joint, but I dont think he suddenly makes the Brewers a lock for the division, or even the playoffs. If Gallardo ends up coming back, then watch out. What?
  9. lets let Marshall do his thing for a little while. I know hes only had 3 starts, but hes gotten progressively better as he goes. and what is PAP? pitcher abuse points
  10. I hate that CC is coming into the division but I'm not that bent out of shape about it. I'm glad it's a guy who pitches once every 5 games as opposed to a guy who hits every day. This makes Milwaukee very tough but they still have a lot of question marks with Sheets' health (as always) and their pen. If Hendry can land Burnett or Harden and stay away from Wolf and Maddux (I don't have great confidence that he will), then I'll be even less concerned. I'm not sure Sheets is going to make it through the season. He's #1 on the PAP. Sabatha is 5th. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/statistics/sortable/index.php?cid=309697 You didn't need to mention he was #1 in PAP, you could have just said something like this, "I don't think Ben Sheets will make it through the season because he's Ben Sheets."
  11. He has a 27.6 VORP. That's really good. His numbers are coming down, but they're still great.
  12. I'm going to drink a gallon of milk, vomit, and then cry myself to sleep.
  13. This is very exciting news.
  14. Oh man, no one is interested in Burnett? The Cubs have got to get him now.
  15. I don't like this move.
  16. The Cubs decided it was too depressing to see him this way, so they put him to sleep.
  17. Don't worry LLF, I'm sure it sounded right in your head.
  18. CubbieBum's comparisons are hilarious.
  19. Make sure you read the entire contract. The devil can be kinda deceiving.
  20. Why do people still think that Looper has been successful as a starter?
  21. How is this stat useful? I know wins are a bad way of measuring a pitcher, but if you have 9 wins at this point in the season, you're doing something right. Oh I agree...wait a second, what are Andy Sonnanstine and Braden Looper doing right? Also, Livan Hernandez has 8 wins and he has been awful.
