  1. It would help if Lou would use some guys consistently, bring them in before there are 2 men on base, and not use Patton in a close game vs. the #1 offense in the NL. I think the pen is fine, other than Cotts. Everyone else is fine in the role that they are in, Lou just needs to keep them in those roles and not overthrow his back 3 as much as he has (will). The trouble is, any time the slightest situation comes up, Lou goes straight to Marmol, which isnt good for Marmol or the rest of the pen. IE, last night when Cotts got into a little bit of a mess. There were 2 on, 1 out, and a 5 run lead. You cant tell me that Lou couldnt have gone to someone else in that situation?
  2. Ive been watching this David Kelton kid for a while now. He was supposed to be great at one point, but hasnt quite figured it out yet. Any idea if he'll be called up any time soon? Theres another guy named Dopirek whose supposed to be pretty good too.
  3. In a related story, Im offering to share my mortgage and student loans. Any takers?
  4. Aside from Cotts and his 3.33 WHIP, our pen really hasnt been that bad at all. WHIPs Marmol 0.95 Vizcaino 0.55 Patton 1.29 Heilman 1.27 Gooz 1.20 Gregg 1.83, but seems to be shaping up
  5. Fox and Hoffpauir wouldnt be so far off from Floyd and Ward, only they're younger and dont have the injury history. With Johnson as a more than serviceable 4th outfielder, and Hoffpauir becoming a respectable 5th, we could live with a guy on board for his bat alone. Granted, another middle infield option would be nice, but we dont have anything major league ready in that department.
  6. I know Owings is a pretty good hitting pitcher, but Len and Bob need to stop selling him like hes Albert freaking Pujols.
  7. Maybe we'll get a visit from the 4 Horsemen of the Crapocolypse http://image.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/howry.jpghttp://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/2005/07/25/eghc7UKb.jpghttp://imagecache.allposters.com/images/pic/PHO/AAGO182~Corey-Patterson-2005-Studio-Plus-Posters.jpg

  9. Cat, check Foul caught by fan, check Dusty Baker, check Wheres that goat now?
  10. If we just stopped pitching to Votto and Bruse, the Reds would probably never score on us again.
  11. Eh, 1 pitch, 7 pitches, either way, it usually ends up with the shortstop.
  12. Theres that Jason Waddell guy who had a nice spring training and hes doing pretty good in Iowa. 0.00 in 4 innings, but a WHIP of 1.25
  13. Caridad got smacked around for 6 earned in 4.2
  14. The only one whose really been a problem is Cotts, and you need your lefty. Then again, hes equally bad against lefties and righties, so it wouldnt really make a difference.
  15. Could he really be worse defensively than Daryl Ward? Bring him up.
  16. Looks like Jason Marquis remembered that he was Jason Marquis 1 game too late for us. He got tagged for 6 runs in 5 innings(a usual day at the office for Jason) by the D Backs.
  17. Is Barton the guy with the dreds who was like a nuclear physics major?
  18. LOL! He's morally opposed to homosexuality... but we can already tell what his stance on inbreeding is... talk about pot calling the kettle black. He just doesnt feel that homosexuality should be used as an insult. Sure, he finds it morally reprehensible, and probably feels that those who partake in such a lifestyle are condemned to hell, but all the same, it shouldnt be used as an insult.
